If songs Prince covered for fun are un-vaulted...

I sure hope this is in there as a possibility.

Because this song is so damn good. He also could have killed it live if it were thrown in as a medley element into one of his own.

I would love to hear a cover of something from The Talking Heads or Kate Bush or The Eurythmics.

Agreed!!! That would be incredible! I'd love to hear him sing Drive by the Cars (as S Rogers said he'd sometimes warm up with) and any Fleetwood Mac covers he's done.

DARKNESS DARKNESS

Prince would kill this song, probably heard it, he studied everything. He would steal it the way Aretha stole Respect. I was 12 when this album came out. My new brother-in-law played it on guitar.

I'd like to hear a clear version of his Shania Twain cover. U're Still The One.

I've only ever heard that through the REAL player, super low-quality.

Not surprised. Prince also shared club gigs with New Wave bands, early 80s. At least in New York City. TH got massive play for a long time in NY then. Also, David Byrne (drop-out, LOL) and other members went to RISD. There was a direct art-form crossover of visual art fans and music fans that made the audience much larger. I knew a guy that went to RISD that was in the TH. He quit not long before they broke, artistic temperment blow up.

Bad Mama Jama, Bustin Loose and You Dropped a Bomb would be a great mash-up!

My dream cover (and I've said this before) would have been Cosmic Slop--don't know why, I just wish it had happened. So, as long as we're just wishing... I'm gonna hope for the release of the five different versions by different band lineups that I've just decided he must have recorded at different points over the years.
