So the deep voice on The Rainbow Children is a computer talking. I always assumed it was Prince talking with some voice modulator.

I heard a version of RBC recently where someone tweaked the voice and I suppose sped it up and it definitely sounds like Prince's voice. I would have much preferred the album that way and I wonder how they did it.

The deep voice is prince. The computer talking is at the beginning of family name. It’s quite apparent!

Thanks. I always assumed that it was but I had never heard it without the effect that he used. Yes it is apparent that it is a computer on "Family Name", though when I first heard it I wasn't sure if it wasnt a distortion of someone's actual voice. Nice to hear the story behind it. Thanks to Latin for sharing the video.
