I agree. I only liked janelle's list and even her's was frustatingly stuck in the 80's. What's with all the lists that don't contain actual prince performances? Not sure what to think about that.

This is why it is better to have your own copies of albums and live performances...so you can listen to what you want, when you want.

I love Sean Ono Lennon’s list most. His list perfectly shows that any definitive “Best of Prince” compilation HAS to include all the work he composed and produced for other artists. Because THAT”S THE COMPLETE PRINCE. Most of us here are here because of The Time, Vanity, Madhouse, The Family, songs he did for others and his own songs. That’s the COMPLETE PRINCE.

Hopefully there is a future BEST OF PRINCE compilation released for all the folks outside the purple bubble who don’t know, and should know the scope of his talent beyond Purple Rain and Raspberry Berret

Sean Lennon wrote a song with Esthero called everyday is a holiday and the horn riff sounds like purple rain.

Thanks! Good playlist! I like that she included some newer songs. I remember that she posted a similar playlist with that title for Prince's birthday in 2016.
