I Love Vinyl- there, I said it.

Got my new turntable today folks, and for me, it all just sounds better coming from a real record. Yes, I have his music CD's rocking down the road to work in my car, but vinyl really does it for me 'mo better! Just something more tangible about it, and not all of my albums are perfect. I know every little skip, snap, crackle, & pop of most of them.

Here's wishing everyone a very funky throwback Thursday tomorrow in an 80's sort of way!

I love vinyl too... and have invested heavily in the medium over the last few years.

I must admit, however, the manual nature of vinyl is absolutely BRUTAL after years of the ease of use of CD and digital formats.

I would listen to my vinyl a lot more if it wasn't so much more manual a process.

Never liked CD's.

Although I have quite a CD collection (I barely touch these last years).

-

BIG BIG vinyl lover here too !

(I got a collection of more than 5000 razz)

-

Most of Prince's albums that were available on Vinyl, I bought, not on CD.

Also because CD booklets always tend to dissapoint big time.

-

Shame 'Crystal Ball', '20TEN' 'Slaughter House' etc aren't on Vinyl.

-

I even love the bootleg vinyls.

Im with you, OP. Physical copies will always be my jam and Vinyl is the collest form of that. Im pumped about the rereleases coming up. Im confident there will be vinyl releasd with each. The world of Vinyl and Merch for artists is continuing to grow. Travis Scotts recent release is a master class in merch and vinyl rollout.

(Insert something clever here)

And doesn't that original Bernie Grundman mastering on Prince's 80s albums sound awesome?

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Has anyone ever managed to install a turntable in a car, in place of the cassette/CD/mp3 player? Now you do that and I'll say you're a true vinyl lover nod lol

And by the way, who listens to a CD nowadays in the car, when you have bluetooth +smartphone and the internet with zilions of tunez ? smile

-

Yes, there excists a few cars with a vinyl player in it, but someone here already posted a picture of it.

-

I even have a portable recordplayer with headphones, and a vertical turntable against the wall !
