Best quality Purple Rain outfit for costume party?

I’m not a fan of fancy dress but a good friend is having his 40th as a dress as fave musician and he’s brought a really high quality Elvis suit so I want to make an effort. There’s lots of awful looking Purple Rain outfits online. Has anyone come across some good ones? I’m short and slim so need ones that have a size range.

Depends on your budget but I'm assuming that any really good one would be expensive. Your best bet would be to have one made by a tailer. Or you could just put on a blouse and write SLAVE on your face. razz

lol

Good tip.

I’d go to about $200 I think. There’s some truly awful ones for about 40-50 bucks.

I won best costume at my nephews Halloween party last year, and I got it off Amazon for a reasonable price along with a great Prince Purple Rain wig, all for under $100.

I've wanted to go as Prince for every fancy dress party I've ever been invited to. However, I've never found anything accurate, well fitting or high quality enough for me to be satisfied. Please post a picture of you in it when you have it!

I've actually considered having one made, but I wouldn't know where to even start finding someone who makes clothes in my area (north west UK).

I got two sides... and they're both friends.

I remember when I was 13 years old and I was sitting on the couch with my grandma. There was a Prince docu on TV and they showed that part from the VMA's 1991, I sat there like: "HOLY SHIT!" and she was screaming from laughter. lol
