That's not what they said. For fuck's sake, there's an entire thread about this release linking to various sources yet you lot just need to make up shit.

Get a grip Bart, jeez!

You leave Bart alone!!! We need him on this site going off on us and keeping us in line. That way, he won't feel the need to be out in the real world just choking random mfers. Everytime that Bart posts here, it means that the streets are safe.

It’s a bit like Trump and golfing. Whenever he’s golfing we know he’s not accidentally causing World War 3 (anthough we cannot guarantee that he’s not using the N word)

I believe that only songs written specifically for a film qualify.

Spike Lee has released a video for the song (mostly made of footage from the movie):

Yeah, after listening to the track again, I still think people unhappy with this release are trippin'.

.

Even if you got it long ago as a bootleg it's still great for non-bootlegers to gain access to it.

.

I really like everything about it -- the whole intimate moments vibe works for me. I can see how it could be a revelation to others that have not previously heard it.

The other Mary Don't You Weep thread is closed and, well, damn, just had to show some appreciation for this great Billy Sparks impersonation:

No one is interesteed in his films other than himself!!!

I just watched Pass Over and I was deeply disappointed. I know Spike Lee didn't write the play but he filmed it and it made me wonder WTF was that all about? All I saw was 80 minutes of lamenting and moaning about being Black in America, total victimization, zero "black empowerement" as they say, just crying and complaining and victimizing...

.

I know it's easy to say this from a white European perspective, but hell... IDK, I had already been quite puzzled by Bamboozled or Spike Lee's attacks on Quentin Tarantino... Lee seems to be a little obsessed with those racial issues and I'm not sure what to expect with this new movie really...

.

This being said Do The Right Thing and Crooklyn are among my favorite movies of all time, and there are several other Lee movies I really like such as Jungle Fever, SOS or 25th Hour...

Perfect song for the movie ending. Bravo. I went to see Black Kklansman not knowing what to expect. Another Bamboozed? or another Spike Lee classic. The film was terrific and much better than I expected. The Prince song was great and gave the movie an uplifting finish. I cannot wait to see the movie again and to purchase Piano & Mic. Good Job Spike. You made my day today.

The vocal performance is good but the song itself is obviously Prince jerking, singing about pancakes, jyst singing what comes into his head.

This release is such a bad choice. The people responsible for this over priced cash in should be ashamed. They are trying to sell it as a lost album. It's far from that. I implore people not to buy it.

One can only hope this is part of a bigger plan to get Piano & a Microphone 2016 stuff released.

C'mon now, implore people not to buy it, really?

.

This is one of my favorite bootlegs, but I'm missing 2 tracks and the speed isn't correct on the one I have, so I'm looking forward to the release.

.

The singing is great. The combination of sad spiritual, line from strange relationship, and impovisation is mostly cool. The sniff is a little out of space.

.

And there's no line about pancakes. It's omelettes.
