LMAO, Bart was just as heartwarming and joyful on that thread as he is on this one.

Well, I'll say one thing for Bart, he doesn't get all butt hurt when someone gets snippy with him. He takes what he gives. I've seen others who do about the same thing he does but when the same thing happens to them they damned near throw a tantrum about it.

Time keeps on slipping into the future...

This moment is all there is...

I love toy arts and have a few Funkos, but sadly this one looks more like Bobby Z than Prince...

1. I don't think Prince would approve.

2. If the estate want money, they are sitting on the biggest musical/video pile in entertainment history.

3. I'm well aware of the Funko Pop trend, but dead artists just reeks of expolitation.

4. I hope Prince fans would know better.

5. Why does anyone need Prince 'stuff' beyond his performances? What does it bring you?

6. Beyond the Labyrinth licence, the Bowie estate has side stepped all of this type of commercialism.

7. Why do people feel they need shit like this?

8. This is America.

I'd rather McFarlane Toys did some figures, but, oh well, I'll probably pick this up.

I’m sure Prince wouldn’t have liked it, but this was the guy that brought us tacky fragrances, loads of cheap and nasty merchandise, the Game Boyz, 1999 ( the new mater) ....

This.

I don't see the need for tacky novelty merchandise either, particularly when the core audio and visual releases are just not there.

Back in April, some merchandising sheets were leaked that indicated the three designs were Purple Rain, When Doves Cry, and 2004 Grammys.

The "Raspberry Beret" one wasn't mentioned, so maybe there are 4, or they nixed the WDC one for being too similar to Purple Rain perhaps.

I spoke to someone at Funko Pop who said there will be 4. One of them will be a collector's edtion with him on a motorcycle.

I am the one who initially posted this a few months back. Funko hasn't even formally announced these yet, but they are real. I got my 3rd Eye Girl version today.

I love Funko Pops and have lots and lots -- I LOVE them.

5. I like having pop figures for musicians, entertainers and characters I like. Why does it matter to you?

6. Bowie pops are coming later this year.

7. Because people can spend their money however they want.

It's on their site. That's pretty much an announcement, is it not? The pic I posted most recently is directly pulled from their site. I guess I'm not aware how much of an announcement they make on anything they release.

No, that pic you posted is not from Funko's official site. It's from a site that posts Funko leaks ahead of release. They aren't officially announced yet and there will most assuredly be a full on press release on their site when they do.

The family have nothing to do with it.

Both Prince's brother Omarr and his cousin Chazz Smith have received cease-and-desist orders from the Estate, even though Omarr is an heir. Sharon had to fight to be able to get the John Nelson project recorded and sold at Paisley - again, in spite of her being an actual heir.

They get to give their opinions - they don't have approval of what deals do and do not get made.

That's solely down to Comerica and Troy Carter right now.

To my understanding, just for having Prince related images on his social media.
