NEW LEAK : Playtime By Versace (Album)

NO SOLICITING FOR BOOTLEGS! Discussion is fine, so long as the bootleg is not being promoted e.g. pre-release; requests/offers to share or copy, and links to download or bootleg sites are not.

It’s now out there. It’s an interesting compilation. And the quality is fantastic!
I will likely take a look on all of the tracks to see if they’re any different from what we previously had.

Playtime : Except a few seconds of music at the beginning, it is the same version that appeared on “C2G”. And I’d say this version is slightly better than what we had.
The Good Life (Big City Remix) : This is the same version as it appears on its single.
Soul Sanctuary (Early Version) : Here’s one I’d hoped to hear in a clear version and here it is! The quality is so good!
18 & Over : This is the longer version that previously leaked (with an earlier fade-out).
Stone : Here’s another one that needed a cleanup and now I can actually enjoy this song thanks to the quality!
I Like It There : This is the same version as it appears on “Chaos And Disorder”.
Da Bang : This is the same version as it appears on “Crystal Ball”.
I’ll Never Open My Legs Again (Eye’ll Never B Another Fool) : This one as well sounds better without all this hiss!
Van Gogh (Early Version) : This one is of slightly better quality than it appeared on “Work It”.
Poorgoo (Live) : This is from the Emporium aftershow, definitely better than the “Emporium” bootleg version.
Dinner with Delores (Early Version) : The same version that appeared on “BFTP 5.0” but this time it’s without Eye’s “remastering”. So it definitely sounds better on this one.

One of my favourite eras so glad to hear this is circulating.

I'm guessing some of these songs are alternate versions judging by the date of the compilation?

I think the recording of 'Poor Goo' included from the Emporium in London is previously unreleased.

thank you so much for this music whoever you are biggrin I really wish this was released in 1995! Can you imagine this coming out after the Come album as an adjunct to TGE and Exodus! That would have been awesome

Wow, this is really cool! Too bad of the CD scratches at the beginning of the disc but still great!

These are thigs that could be released immediatly and as is by The Estate without them spending too much money on it.

They could advertise it as one of his unreleased projects with some info and that would probbaly make most of us more happy than what they're about to release.

You could create a website with several of these kind of projects for download relatively quickly.

Kind of an odd release. It sounds like someone put some kind of surround sound effects on Playtime. Not sure if it's necessarily better than what we had before.

Don't remember hearing the original Van Gogh before, though I'm sure I have. There's an element to it that kind of reminds me of Red Scarlet.

I prefer the production on this earlier version of 'Soul Sanctuary' than the official release on Emancipation. Beautiful and gives an idea how some of those songs would have sounded with 1995 era production.

I'm loving this as I've never heard before the track Playtime.

This is extra special for me as I was at the recording of Poorgoo!

lol lol lol lol

This is nice. Hearing these songs compiled like this is giving me a new appreciation for songs I wasn't crazy about the first time around. (I Like It There, Poor Goo, Soul Sanctuary). The Good Life mix is one of my favorites.

If they have Poorgoo in soundboard, they must have the whole show.... That would be a cool release!!

This isn't new though is it? I think I got this about a year ago. Same tracklist and everything. The artwork on my iTunes shows Prince pointing towards his crotch. Is this a revamped version of that?

I noticed the same thing too. The same guy who shared this, also shared a "rip from acetate" of 'Purple Music' not long ago. The same (noise?) filter was also used there.

That would be totally amazing and off the scale!!!

This was such an awesome show. We were all so very tighly packed in the audience and it was so very hot. We waited for Prince for ages, but it was worth the wait.

I remember Mayte all night did the same repetitive dance move over and over... she looked knackered, particularly as it was so hot in there!!!

This makes me realize that Playtime and Emancipation (the song) are connected at the hip. So many common elements. This is a great little compilation.

Nice to have this. Also nice that some of the released tracks don't sound so brickwalled as the official releases (to my ears anyway).
