The 1 personal item of his...

With all the auctions lately, it makes people like me dream of what we would cherish; if we had the $ to purchase it. Care to tell what item (keep it semi-clean here, LOL) you wish was yours and why?

Me- that fuzzy leopard print guitar strap he first started out with when he was not yet famous...you know, the original one. Why- real sweat and determination to succeed imbeded in there, that's why. I know, its silly, but that is mine.

Good morning children...take a look out your window, the world is falling...

If I could get one thing, and I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting this, but it would be the Purple Rain motorcycle.

>

The first time I ever remember thinking that I wanted a motorcycle was while watching Purple Rain on the big screen in 1984.

>

Strangely, I never thought I should get a guitar and learn to play. But two years after Purple Rain, I had my first bike.

>

It's almost 35 years since Purple Rain. I've had a bike and been riding for all but 7 of those years. It's something that I really have enjoyed throughout the course of my life, having ridden a lot of miles through about 20 different states. And it started because I saw Prince riding, being the coolest mother fucker on the planet.

You know, I find both outfits by far the most silliest of all Prince's outfits, ever !

Yes I know, even for the gay I am, this is my not-so-humble opinion. wink

Prince looks better in a hat than anyone I've ever seen. I would love to have the red hat with the feathers. He looks so gorgeous in these pics. I would also love to have the chain link hat he wore in My Name is Prince! Awesome!!

Oh please the outfits from 93-95 as well as that hideous all blue shimmering jumpsuit from 99 were worse than anything he wore during the Welcome 2 era.

Well, I couldn't do the motorcycle. I saw a Honda CM400 in parking lot one day and holy cats, is that a small bike. I'm a 5'9" woman and I ride a Kawasaki Vulcan 500 that'd make the Honda look like a mini-bike. And it ain't that big.

Anyway, I'm gonna go weird: one of his sweaters that stills smells like him. People say how amazing he always smelled. I'd wear it, hug it, breathe in his humanity. I'd do exactly the same if someone I love in my real life ever died.

But I want those boots, too. lol

The sweater thing not weird at all. I kept one of my fathers shirts, and wish I had thought to put it in a zip-loc. The day I realized it had quit smelling like him anymore, I broke down.

I have one of his sweaters, for that very reason. Unfortunately, it doesn't smell anymore. I sniffed it all out but I'd spray one of the perfumes on it that he used to use back in the day.

I'm not going to get too personal here, but keeping a loved one's items in a cedar robe keeps really well. I actually consulted with someone to 'invent' a product that could 'keep' smells, to where, when you really miss someone- be it that the person is gone, or just not in your vicinity- you can revert back to this. I know it would be a great invent, as everyone has their own 'smell' and to be able to smell that certain scent is so comforting yes

His Purple Symbol guitar he played in The Super Bowl! Close behind would be the Yellow "Gett Off" outfit with the cut outs in it and the pants booty cheek could have been filled in with the other material in the patnts and not be exposed.
