HABIBI (MACHINE GUN)

So, if you are an utter nutter and you have fashioned a seperate digital folder for Habibi. what design would you add to it?

Basically I need an era-correct picture, but not that pic from the tourbook, where he's on the ground and Mayte stand over him with the Symbol guitar, cuz I already used that for my Days Of WIld (Studio Version) folder.

So you have a separate folder for Habibi and a separate folder for the studio version of Days of Wild... how do you decide what gets its own folder and what doesn't (assuming that everything doesn't)? Just curious.

Oh, and I don't have a suggestion for a design.

I have the official discography, but have added some extra folders, like for Dolphin (Album version and the one from The Undertaker)

Days Of Wild was the first song on the DAT tape that Prince sold to some radio stations in Europen and our first studio introduction to the later Gold Experience/Come period and as a song it NEEDED to be in my singles collection folder.

Same thing with the new material in the Ahdio Shows on the NPGmc; I treat the unreleased material as singles and as most of these never ended up on albums, like Splash or Breathe, or indeed, that MAGNIFICENT Habibi, those got treated like singles.

Often. those are also the songs that get included on my personal playlists to introduce people to the OTHER Prince, aka. the non-hit songs most people never heard cuz he was too under the radar, yet SOOOOO deserve to be heard.

Besides regular releases each having their own folder, I have each streamed non-album song in its own folder, and things like the DAT tape get their own folder. NPG club releases are in folders based on release date. Heck, I have folders that include snippets that are just seconds long. Or at least, I had it like that before I dropped my Prince drive and had to start replacing everything. So now I'm reorganizing as I go. I generally don't worry much about art for the unusual folders, though.

.

The original DAT I have starts with the 13 February 1994 concert, the 7 studio tracks follow, with 'Interactive' being the first.

.
The DAT came with a faxed tracklist titled "The Beautiful Experience" February 12, 1994.
The concert was 13 tracks on the DAT, the rest (indicated on the fax as 'New album tracks') were:
14 – Interactive (2:41)

15 – Days Of Wild (4:02)
16 – The Most Beautiful Girl In The World (10:31)

17 – Now (4:52)

18 – Acknowledge Me (5:32)

19 – 319 (3:23)

20 – Pheromone (4:37)

.
