If you had met prince what would you say?

Maybe someone on here has actually met him but if you did get the chance to while he was here what would you say?

I'm just like everybody else I need love.....and water.

I said, "Great show". He was there briefly in a night club at an after party. Never really classed it as meeting him though as I actually met eye to nipples with the man mountain of a security person.

RIP sad

That's what I said to George Lucas. Actually, "thanks George", but the sentiment was the same biggrin

Why were you opposed to marriage equality if you said one of your personalities is a woman, therefore part of you was a lesbian?

I love you and I want to make love to you. (Or maybe not - I'm kinda timid and this sounds a bit creepy. Although a TV presenter said it to him once and he didn't hit her.)

Would you like to read my poems and tell me your opinion?

Are you close to your nephews?

What would you want to happen to your vault once you pass away?

I'm pretty sure he would have left before you could even have finished your first sentence. wink

I did meet him and I had a very short conversation with him but it was awkward as fuck because I wasn't a fan of his then and didn't really know his music. And he did most of the talking, which wasn't much. But if I could go back in time and talk to him with the knowledge I have now I'd probably ask him about the influences behind some of my favourite songs of his. I'd probably steer clear of personal stuff because that's the part of him I'm least interested in. But I'd have plenty of questions about his music.

Hey Prince, you wanna jam, play basketball, watch some movies, and some stand up comedy shows.

In this theoretical meeting the answer is why yes, I have four or five days spare, and while doing this would you like to see me record some of my greatest music from the 85-86 era.

In this theoretical meeting my answer is "Well I will have to check my calender, yep let's do this."

I think meeting Prince in a happy playful mood where he was open to meeting strangers would be cool, so I don't know during the best moments of his relationship with Mayte, after Purple Rain, when he was relating well with his dad, when he was excited about a new band, or when he was most in love with Susannah might have been a good time to meet him.

Forgive the fan fic, but I think sitting next to him in high school music class and catching him jam in the lunch breaks and after school would be pretty magical.

I would just talk to him like a friend about music, basketball, film - things I love.

Like everybody at one time (near the end) I would tell him what his music meant to me, and how truly loved and respected he is on the org (contrary to what is posted historically)

The closest I ever came to that was near front row at The Forum circa W2A and I was the only person up dancing in my section--Prince pointed to me, made eye contact, and said, "That's how you do it." I saw him later at a small club but didn't have that eye contact and the point... I will treasure that moment...

Thank you. Thank you for the music and the experiences in my life that the music touched and helped to shape the memories of those experiences. Thank you for the friends I've made that I would have never known had it not been for your music that brought us together. Thank you for the experience of your gift and the depth to which that gift touched me.

I'm generally not one to even want to meet well known people. This is because I really don't even know if I have anything in common with them other than I enjoy and appreciate their work. And I don't want to be one of those people who fawn over someone.

Probably 3-4 months after he died, Prince came to me in a dream. I was shocked, and he snarkily said "You wanted to say something to me." I stammered to speak, because I was still in shock that it was actually him. And he was like "Well?" I told him he didn't have to be such an asshole. And then he said "Well you're the one who wanted to talk with me." And he left.

Having nothing in common with him except his music, and not being one to just say things like "I appreciate your music", it really wouldn't leave much to say. And my dream is probably a realistic way to view what would've happened if I had met him. I can appreciate his music without ever knowing him personally. Being at Paisley Park experiencing him there was as close as I ever wanted to be to him.

When I first met him I told him he was cute. If I had the chance again now I'd say I'm so sorry and I love you.

If I met him in the 80's I'd say "I'm from the future, stay the fuck away from Larry Graham!".

AAAAAMEN to that!!!! worship That would have changed so many things in Prince's life. Personally, I think he'd still be alive had he never gotten tangled up with that fricken idiot.

We spoke a few times during the IndigO2 aftershows since I was at the front most times, going with the flow of the show, just teasing each other... I also gave him a little card.

The last time was when he pulled me up on the stage, it was wonderfully exhilirating to be so close to him and I suddenly wanted to tell him a million things...
But time was short and the crowd waiting, so I just whispered 'thank you' in his ear. I think that pretty much summed it all up. cloud9

I did the same, side of stage at an after show I thrust my hand out and said 'Great set', he shook my hand briefly and said 'Thanks'. Ok, not much of a conversation, but it was pretty surreal!
