Not in bed. wink

Right on Chocolate! He was the sexiest man alive IMO

No, only when you have hemmed up almost every pair of dress pants you have ever owned!

Thats exactly what I think I was going to start a thread about it did prince's vanity end up killing him but thought I'd get alot of hate so didnt bother.

Lonely-really great idea. I think it bears exploring though I know what you mean re: hostile orgers.

I think his vanity, image obsession etc are central to him.

Hey Peg- think u are on to something. Can we get a separate Org section where all the hateful ones are not allowed to post? I mean really. Most of us are just trying to get out some feelings of love and admiration for a great artist, but you can really get a slap-down handed to you if someone feels you should already know that answer. It breaks down to a pissing contest of "I know some things you don't know, making me a truer fan."

Wasn't there also a time where he broke or badly hurt his toe? Jumped off something and his toe curled under his foot? I seem to remember him talking about that in an interview.

RIP sad

poor guy, his vanity had a lot to do with how he ended up.

Plus, you can have bunions without ever having worn high heels. They can be hereditary. (I inherited mine from my dad, believe it or not.)

That said, there is no question that wearing heels for so many years can cause damage - and not only to one's feet. Wearing heels over a long period of time causes the muscles and tendons in the back of the legs to shorten - which affects the feet, ankles, legs, hips and back.

I'm a long-time heels wearer and I feel it all the time. I'm better now about making sure I switch between flats and heels - and I'm always in flats or bare feet at home. But it's there.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

He had really bad bunions. eek My bunions aren't half that size--on my 56-year-old feet--and I wonder all the time how hell he still wore heels. Granted, wearing heels all the time made him used to them, but even so, feet are not made to operate that way. It had to hurt!
I’m guessing this is one reason Prince was rarely photographed barefoot.
