I remember watching Mayer nail a guitar solo on some award show that just blew my mind. Prince would ghost him by saying that he would attend one of his concerts, but I don't know if he ever showed up to one!

Mayer is one of the most talented guitarist to make it big in the declining Rock music era. He himself is more adult contemporary/pop, but the guy can rip when he wants to. I've got Continuum on vinyl and would love a copy of Born & Raised. Saw him on tour 5 years ago and it was a great show.

Was feeling this track he put out last year:

John made some personal miststeps along the way and I hope he makes it back into mainstream again?

He is now a DeadHead.

What are you talking about?

I was referring to the fact John is now touring with the Grateful Dead. Their fans are called "DeadHeads"

John did an interview with the New York Times in 2017 titled "John Mayer Knows He Messed Up. He Wants Another Chance"

Read John's own words.

Game is correct - he's at least a former douche.

Coincidentally a video popped up on twitter today, John talking about his new video...around miniute 4.30 he talks about a guitar part played on Prince's guitar that just happened to be in the vicinity! Sorry no link BUT really weird how that happened.

one of my buddies had a guitar showdown with him in NY, my buddy says he won, I wasn't there but as great as my buddy is, i wouldn't doubt it. He says john made some sort of giving up gesture, i forgot what it was though.
