Prince's Estate Seeks To Pull Out Of TIDAL Deal Following Inflated Streaming Reports

According to HOTNEWHIPHOP, the Prince Estate wants to pull out of their Tidal deal due to false reporting of sales/streaming numbers of various releases by Tidal.

This website also erroneously says that the next album on Tidal is supposed to be Piano and & Microphone 1983, which we "know" isn't the case.

Until some other websites have it, take it with a grain of salt. Whatever the hell that means... razz

Unfuckingbelievable. They just can't seem to stop monkey wrenching everything. The heirs that are causing the drama really should just sit down.

You know...my initial thought was, "A streaming company lied about the numbers? Shocking. rolleyes "

And then I saw that it was Sharon, Norrine and John and did a double rolleyes

Its not the Estate that wants to rescind the deal, it is SNJ.

Their attorney filed a letter asking the Judge to rescind the settlement.

Both the Estate lawsuit and the Federal lawsuit were dismissed based upon the settlement agreement.

Yes, this isn't the estate. It's the same three family members who refuse to go to meetings, tie everything up in the court and reject every deal that isn't put together by their lawyer.

SNJ gets on my last frigging nerves. I am not going to speculate about their persona natures, but why can't they just cash out their cut of the Sony deal and retire. They barely knew their brother (due partly to different family histories, as well as age differences, and P's somewhat isolated nature). Let others take over...those who care about legacy more than stubborn adherence to old school "show-me-the-money" mentalities that unfortunately seem to be the only things they shared in common with their brother. Hell, even Prince would probably acknowledge that protection of artists' rights is for the living, not the mooches, and that legacy then takes over.

The further from that dubious company, the better. Should have never been involved with those 4 golddiggers in the first place.

Sharon, Norrine, and John Nelson - Prince's half siblings.
