Prince B-side better than the A-side ?

Have you listene to a B-side of princes and enjoyed it more than the A-side?

For me it's the "Raspberry Beret" single, I enjoy the B-side more "She's always in my hair."

I had a friend ask me what album Erotic City was on, and could not believe that it was a B-side.

That song was HUGE on Detroit radio back in the day!

Better in what way? Raspberry Beret is a classic 80's pop single, She's Always in My Hair would never be that, although it's an absolute belter of a track.

Right Back Here in My Arms would probably have been a better a-side than Betcha By Golly Wow! though.

It didn't happen much.. for me Irresistible Bitch beats out (just) Let's Pretend We're Married. 1999 is blown away though by How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore. And then it happened with U Got The Look, which is simply not as good as Housequake. (which should have been the single, I think) After that, the quality of the B sides declined a bit until there were no more B sides as such.

.

With most of his best B sides though, the A side is also a killer track!

.

edit: @Schlomo, you are so right about Scarlet Pussy and Feel U Up. I completely forgot about those!

I Love U In Me > The Arms Of Orion. I'm one of the few who actually likes Orion, but the vocal (and vocal layering) on I Love U In Me is absolutely stunning. I also enjoy Escape more than Glam Slam, Scarlet Pussy more than I Wish U Heaven (though the extended I Wish U Heaven might beat Scarlet Pussy), and Feel U Up more than Partyman.

Gotta be How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore which was the B side of 1999 single. This song is the one that made me say 'Dude has got the talent for sure!!!'

what's a b-side (asking for a friend). LOL. But on a serious note, because I don't know. Once things went digital/file sharing/streaming/ blah, blah, wasn't that the end of b-sides; or did the name remain and it morphed into something else, but similar concept?

Also, regret when I was a kid using our old 45s as frisbees sad
