Keeping His Music Alive

Check it out! Not the original version but proof that our youth will continue the legacy in years to come! I actually loved it! This guy just out of high school!

It's funny the other day I finally got a digital copy of Per Nilsen's original 1989 book, where he lists the (then) existing covers. The list is remarkably short. Today, such a list would probably be near impossible to compile.

So happy to hear this. Prince is definitely going to be the next Mozart I can feel it but yeah I still worry sometimes that the next generation is going to forget about Prince because they are use to their idols not playing instruments but I am happy that some teachers are doing their part to keep his legacy alive.

Yeah I am glad that music teachers and classes are doing their part because I really don't know what is taught these days in music schools.

I think what I enjoyed most about this was that this young man put his own creative spin and emotion on a Prince classic…. It wasn’t another artist trying to copy Prince’s style. I think P would approve!

I agree and you know what? I know Prince might have fussed about people covering his songs, but I believed he would have liked that song and how people bring their own style to it. Prince always wanted young people to bring their style to songs.
