If you've collected bootlegs, as I have, you have no right to complain when official releases lack surprises that you haven't already heard. We cheated. We peaked at our Christmas presents. Now we can't be upset when Christmas morning offers no surprises. That's on us.

Yep, exactly.

The way the vault will be drip fed out sooooo slowly, I wouldn't swap places with someone that hadn't collected boots though. No regrets here.

Me. I would be the best possible person to work with the estate in releasing not just DVDs but also the music in the vault.

The reason why I would be the best is because I would make everything available straight away. Every single unreleased song, album, live performance, music video and movie. Basically, I'd set up a subscription based streaming service and put it all on there. But for people like me, who don't like the subscription based streaming model, I'd make everything available for download (at a reasonable price) as well as selling physical copies of any completed unreleased albums that may exist.

No need to feel insulted. Regardless of how the correction was presented, just take the correction as a learning experience. We all learn things every day.

Also, most native English speakers are fairly rubbish nowadays. It's the fault of years of degradation from shitty and overly liberal education. smile

Edit: On topic, there was a questionnaire (of sorts) from the estate in communication a while back, so they have a general idea of the sorts of releases the fans want. The fans from this site, at least.

You act like a millennial.

If all your excuses are true:

- Learn to write and spell.

- Get a real computer.

The Bob Dylan bootleg series by way of Elvis Follow That Dream records are the best method for release. Contact EVERYONE involved in the original recordings and get the damn bootleggers who have been around forever involved FFS.

(streamable) Boxsets of each album with piles of outtakes from that era, released chronologically, with maybe some limited edition releases for fans, e.g. a pressing of the Camille album would be nice but hardly needs a wide release since it's mostly available already officially - this is how the piano and mic 1983 release should be coming out imho

Casual fans can just catch up via streaming because that's what they're going to do anyway.

There, i've sorted it all out, for no fee as well.

great comment

all true ...BUT...u would think the estate/wb/tidal have enough sense to release previously non-widely released bootlegs

Firstly, this is a Prince forum not an academic paper. Secondly, you are assuming a great deal about the poster and their background. Communication has one purpose, to communicate a thought to someone else, the poster did this amply well. If this type of thing really bothers you it is perhaps advised you don't venture out on the Internet, you may find this forum as a high point in lucid expression.

Firstly, this is a Prince forum not an academic paper.

.

My context is:
Somebody that is stuck to their phone despite the issues you yourself mentioned.

That is a trait that is commonly found in the age group I mentioned.

My way of communicating is as as and if you do not like `scientific` stuff then you are free to ignore scientific postings.

.

Secondly, you are assuming a great deal about the poster and their background.

.

As described, I merely go on what is mentioned.

I did not write that you are a millennial.

Just that the behaviour is like one.

.

you may find this forum as a high point in lucid expression.

.

You already ignored my good and well intentioned advice and instead focus on the perceived shape of things. That is also a trait that is commonly found here.

You also ignored to deny the if clause about the excuses.

How must I see these excuses now that you ignore all this and instead rant about my supposed assumptions?

Note: I did not comment on the spelling yet.
