and the sex loverman thing...you know what they say, if you always talk about it etc? He may have daliances with other women while in relationships ( may!) but for the most part that isn't out of the norm of rock star behavior. Where are the stories of Princes "freaky" side..all the women always say that he treats them like a queen etc...where are the reports of Prince doing something ever so kinky? He gave head to his geetar on stage, showed his ass on tv, made a living off of putting forth a sex machine in 23 positions kind of guy..and not one report on something other than the missionary? Of course one wouldn't expect a stars sex life to be fodder for front page news or biographies because writers weren't there, but come on! Prince said in Playboy in 80-81 that there should be a 2 p.m. sex break. He sang darling Nikki and Sister. Is Prince all talk?..a fake?..it may all be a myth yessireee bob! Wouldn't that break a lotta womens hearts to finally get him and he turns out to be a dead lay? he may be able to write them a tune but can he realy "get it up and work his stick" outside of the studio?

Exactly. I think there was definitely a reason he preferred the younger ladies. He could shape them and in some cases they (some, not all) were less experienced in that department so they couldn't really compare their experience with him to previous experiences. JMO

I got a copy of this last week and
It’s great. As the author points out in the intro, a top 50 is subjective and a snapshot of what’s available at the time of writing but, if like me you have a shelf or hard drive straining under the weight of so many bootlegs
that you don’t know what you have and have played few of them, some great ones get lost and I’ve had a great week uncovering some real gems I’d ben sitting on thanks to this book. Worth every cent.

I still don't get the point of this book.

How to explain to Bart the point of a book....

It seems fairly clear, there are thousands of bootlegs out there and a new listenere may not know where to begin so a list of what the author thinks are worthy listens is fairly self-explanatory. Its like a top ten kind of list.

.

Reading must be hard. My sentence contains the word "this".

.

In the last month alone there have been several new leaks.

.

Seriously, why pay for a book that recommends bootlegs (and is immediately outdated, and is always going to be subjective)? Save that money for legit releases, and spend the time reading that book instead on listening to boots.

Perhaps logic just isn't yout strong point. Firstly, all books become outdate to a certain extent over time, this is a criticism that most books would face. Secondly, this may also shock you, but some people might be able to afford a book and a couple of CD's, I know it's decadent affluence. Thirdly, I have no idea 'legit releases' means. Do you mean 'legit' books or 'legit' Music? Both can be listened to without the exclusion of the other. Fourthly, of course it's subjective, this is acknowledge in the book and all books are subjective, they are written by people.

falloff By this logic, even Per Nilsen's The Vault was out of date immediately upon printing, and now, 14 years later, it's still one of the most sought after books about Prince. I'd still put it in the the top 2, right behind Tudahl's book.

You seem like a very well adjusted, nice, friendly and overall swell person. Not smug, arrogant, bitter, biting, sarcastic, mean or obsessive at all. You should run for President.
