I think it is fantastic and a nice contrast the Phase 2.

I have not listened to much of phase 1 but phase 2 is one of my favorites. Also I love AOA, I actually liked that he gave someone else a chance to do a lot on these Cds. It freshened up his sound and the result really worked out nicely. It is still very much Prince albums in my mind. [Edited 5/9/18 7:49am]

I enjoy AOA - more music and less electronic noise than Phase 1. I am old school original Prince fan from the beginning - before Purple Rain when white peole didnt really know he was. Before MTV would air his videos. WHen his albums were in the "black" section of the record store. From the 1970s when it was:

Produced, Arranged, Composed, and Performed by PRINCE

period.

so who were all those people believing in Prince and bending over backwards because they believed in him?

and the huge European audience that was following him...

My initial reaction to this album was “meh”. I don’t even know why. This album is great. June, 1,000 Hugs n Kisses, Shut This Down, Fallinluv2nite, Million Dollar Show and HardRockLover... this album is great

Listen to some upbeat Curtis Mayfield songs for jogging, for example Move On Up or the Superfly soundtrack. Or some Deep House stuff. Excellent music for running. Or listen to podcasts. wink

I envy you people who can jog/run with music. I jog every morning at 6:00 a.m., and I hate jogging so much there is no way I could listen to music. If I didn't like the results, I'd have stopped jogging years ago. Maybe it would help if I could find some music that went well with "I hate this shit, I hate this shit, I hate this shit." I'm open to any Prince songs that will go well with that.

Thanks, I'll try the Mayfield. I never got into house or techno. Don't know why; those genres just never moved me. But, thanks for the Mayfield suggestion.

I completely agree that it's one of the best forms of exercise. That's the only reason I awake every weekday morning and do it. But, I hate it every effin' step of the way. Whether I'm outside or on the treadmill, it's 10 minutes and 55 seconds (1.3 miles) of pure hell.

bruce lee called it the king of excercises, a statement i quote a lot and tell people "if you only have time to do one thing, run".

Yes, jogging and planking are the two essential elements of my exercise routine.

Elixer would be amazing if Prince sang it all. Also his solo version of the title track was reputed to be brilliant. Another wish from the vault...
