I don't want to quit. Gotta get another hit.

Question(s): Now that we know about Prince's alleged drug use, do you think the line from All The Critics Love U In New York "I don't want to quit. Gotta get another hit." is referring to music or drugs? Always thought it was music until all of this drug use info surfaced. Do you think he was using way back in 82 when he released this?

I wish u heaven

More "recreational" non sense.
At the time he didn't need reefer or cocaine.
Just Pizza, hamburgers, pussy and root beer.

Happy week-end 2 U 2.

It would be synonymous with Purple Music if you know his unreleased catalogue. he used the analogy even more on that song speaking as the music is his drug.

Don't need no reefer, don't need cocaine
Purple music does the same to my brain
And I'm high, so high
Don't need no cymbals, no saxophone
Just need to find me a style of my own
And I'm high, so high

[Verse 1]
Some people can't understand
Just bein' inside a church don't make a righteous man
You're high, so high

In time we all die, all music gone
So we better try our best to get along
And get high, so high, oh

Ain't got no theory, ain't got no rules
I just let the purple music tell my body what to do
And I'm high, so high

Every subject, any key
Purple music can't be judged, it happens naturally
It's alright, alright, oh
