No reason for them just wanting their names to be on file.

She hired them to represent her in court rather than represent herself.

Yep. But they had a duty to tell her "you dont have a legal claim" but continued to make a claim for her, and then immediately withdrew as counsel.

I guess counsel got tunnel vision on a paycheck instead of due diligence and checking out her claim before submitting?

I am interested in the June 14th meeting and wonder what the 2nd Special Administrator is going to recommend and what course of action will be taken.

Is it odd that there have not been any financials released like Bremer did in the early days?

It is interesting that the Judge said he wanted to discuss the recommendation in person. The 2nd Special Adminstrator has already made recommendations to the Judge but it was heavily redacted. From what I could read in his reports it appears he is recommending pursuing claims against Lonnie and Charlie.

I dont know why we havent seen any financials for awhile. Maybe that is why the heirs want to get an forensic accountant involved because they havent seen any financials for awhile?

Curt

I haven't read through parts 12 and 13 of this thread, so someone may have posted this already, sorry if it's duplicative, but I see the Turks & Caicos property is up for sale..

Think we can pool our cash together and take it off the estate's hands?

They should pursue the claims, but Lonnie will drag it out to drain the estate to try to get leverage on the hiers.

I know there are heir meetings, maybe financials are being discussed then. There was a lot of unknowns at the beginning in terms of valuations. I thought there were several amended tax returns done by Bremer. Then in the investigative files, someone mentioned Prince had issues with the IRS (I took it as he didn't like paying taxes and nothing bad).

By now, Comerica has to have most of the valuation done (2 plus years). I am sure the IRS is wanting the valuaton to do their valuation.

Gregg Walker filed a heavily redacted affidavit with the Court, and it is about a proposed transaction with Universal Pictures.

Gregg states he worked at Viacom, and Sony. He also talks about while working at Sony he worked closey with Playstation that focused on console gaming and home entertainment experiences.

hmmm

Does that matter at this point in time?

I would think the Estate management team - although trying to abide by what they would assume would be Prince's wishes - has to view paying the tax bills, among others, as a priority. The Estate needs to make as much money as possible. If a transaction isn't what we think Prince would want, as long as it was "dignified," I think they will do it.

I am in complete agreement and understanding of your comments. The priority at this point is the financial obligations you mentioned. I just can't understand how and why the heirs do not see this and resolve their differences to save money and pay these obligations so that the Estate will be disbursed to them.

I think Guitar Hero is not a bad idea and it is "dignified". It may also open Prince's music to a new fan base and possible more tracks to be added in the future.
