Video: New interview with Shania Twain - "I Regret Not Taking up Prince's Offer"

Check out a recent interview with Shania Twain produced by Australia's "The Project" entitled "Shania Twain - "I Regret Not Taking up Prince's Offer"(2018)".

Shania Twain becomes emotional when she begins speaking about Prince at 3:00 min.

Here it is:

It is interesting, yet she was all that years ago during her heyday so not surprised that he reached out to her. Love that we are still learning about all the artists from various genres whose lives he touched in some kind of way.

Didn't he also cover "Still The One" live during those NPGMusic years? I think he featured the clip in the website. Yeah I like Miss Twain, it would've been cool had she took him out on his offer smile

Not a country music fan and remember her videos back in the day. After learning her entire story one must give her much respect for being a true survivor.

This story came out a while ago. It's cool that Prince wanted to produce her next album.

Is that what he said?!
I always wondered. Could never decipher and never would’ve put that together.
Thanks so much!
Shania must’ve been in the audience.
Prince kNEW so many people and was so good to his peers.

She was down in front having performed the night before. Cant swear to it (not on THIS board---see "batdance" thread) but it looked like he was staring at her the whole time he sang "somewhere here on Earth" too. Probably wanted to hit that-- I know I would.

(Swiss translation?)

"

Located at the Montreux Palace, the kid from Minneapolis did not have his usual escort, pretty girl or her arm.

Dressed soberly (purple tunic and trousers necessarily purple), Prince then went to the Montreux Jazz Café, where he himself played three years ago. He listened to the German combo Shantel Bucovina Club Orkestar. He asked the disk group that plays Balkan music.

Neither drunk nor eaten

Prince then set sail for the Harry's Bar (Montreux Palace), about 1am. Monitoring of Janelle and his entire group, all dressed in black, Shania Twain and her companion Frederic Thiebaud and Quincy Jones. They took a table around the establishment while some festival-goers were able to slip into the establishment. Two plainclothes security kept them SDM away. Prince stood in front of Quincy Jones, Janelle them. If the U.S. producer has eaten and drunk, the dwarf purple, it has nothing consumed.

He got up to speak to Shania Twain and her companion. Then came to see the little scene of Harry's. Here, the curious and hoping to see familiar sing, but only Janelle Monae and her band have invested the small square. 5-6 pieces almost a cappella, backed only by a synthesizer.

"You just Montreux you can see it"

The bar staff has pushed Prince, Shania, Fred and his friends through the kitchen to watch the microconcert American group. In the hall, some fifty people attended the service, some sitting on the bar, others standing on chairs.

Sitting at the counter, the director of Montreux-Vevey Tourism Harry John was in heaven: "You just Montreux you can see it." The personal power was also delighted: "Unforgettable," we slipped a server. At the entrance, the manager of the convention center greeted the end of the show the young American musicians visibly thrilled.

Party at 5 pm

2 hours 30 minutes in the morning ', Prince packed up. Accompanied by two members of the security, has joined The Artist walking distance of the Montreux Palace 100m. With Shania Twain and Fred Thiebaud, with whom he exchanged a few words. They said goodbye in the lobby of the hotel before the Prince did not join his followers. He left very early this morning to the airport and his private jet. Direction Paris to find his wife.

Awesome version, but it was in such a low bitrate. I hope we get to hear it in proper quality one day.

I had seen her in concert, very sincere woman. She has gone through some things, loss of parents, taking care of her siblings & her divorce.
I thought she would have discussed a little story about him, like this clip but it didn’t happen.

I followed her on Instagram once upon a time, and thought it was odd that she didn't even acknowledge his passing, as pretty much most of the entertainment world had when it occured.

It would have been really cool to hear a collaboration between Shania and Prince. She's still smokin' hot. The only country artist whose videos I would actuallly watch.
