prince was my fountain of youth

Since the passing of prince ... I feel like that I have aged ... He kept me feeling and looking young ... I miss seeing him looking young and perfect ... I have lost that in myself since his passing '

I was always trying to keep up with him .....

Does anybody feel the same .....?

I don't feel like I've aged because of Prince's passing, but his passing (and some others) remind me that our generation is aging

His death has certainly brought home to me the brevity of life. He was around my age now when I first saw him live in 1995 (a couple of years younger in fact). It feels like yesterday.

It's also a motivating force when I consider how much he achieved, that we haven't got all the time in the world and what a terrible waste it is not to fully realise whatever talent we might have.

no, his passing along with a couple of my other heroes has hurt me to not end. I'm not just a listener, i was a follower, they were my leaders and examples as flawed as they may have been. Along with just getting older, getting tireder of how people act in general and then having my favorite people in the world dying the way they are it's not a good feeling. Maybe i need t-therapy.

it's crazy to see him so vibrant in the mid 00's because it really does seem like not that long ago.

I agree, plus the fact that I am getting older (turned 50 this year).....as we all are. lol

.

They say the clock ticks the same for everyone. It's true!

.

But, Prince looked gorgeous for his age and he was aging better than most other men.

He makes me feel like if I take care of my body well enough and stay with what makes me happy, I can look young forever. His whole philosophy on how time is a trick makes sense to me.

Yes he aged well.

But he also had makeup and lighting etc

there were images where you could see his age on him(especially around the eyes)

That he seemed to be a night owl, and probably not a huge daytime person, affects that too

But he did age well

I always gave more grace and leway to entertainers who were very 'visual' artists, as they got older. They look was such a HUGE part of the ride, that I think it is wrong when people who enjoyed them begin putting them down when they age (and sometimes make visual mistakes)

When a large part of your life was lived out loud on stage/videos/tv/movies (for our enjoyment) we should give more graceful passes to them.

.
Right now I'm caught up in the 1977-1978 Prince period. It was always one of my favorites. 1970s those early demo years, trying to make it somewhere in uptown...Leaving 4 New York I've been doing some drawing reflecting that Prince period. Having the whole world ahead of him(and myself lol)

Do you have real time Prince fan friends to talk to?

After recording the background vocals for “7,” Jevetta Steele asked Prince what the song meant. He only smiled. Maybe some answers don’t have words, but if 2gether we can love thru all space and time, does it really matter?

I tend to agree with Prince -- time is a mind-construct. He was right. nod

.

When you think about it, most of us spend our life trying to beat the clock -- our entire lives are centered around time. We are a strange species, for sure!

Yes, Prince did not keep the daytime schedule that most of us do. He did age quite well, considering other rock stars his age.

.

I love Prince's work in his early years.
