I agree; Madonna was not spoiled. She worked her ass off for everything!! Both her and Prince earned their keep, the old-fashioned way -- by hard work and determination!!

.

Someone here posted a story about the time Madonna was talking to Prince and she was living in some shithole and Prince's "When Doves Cry" was a hit, and she was really getting depressed about her life.

.

Yes, she is a fiesty Italian woman!! lol

.

I also do not get the "white people" comment. hmmm

white people mouth off more, it's just a culture thing and she was entitled, not to take away whatever harassement/rape she underwent, i know about all that. Prince and Michael never said whatever came to their heads in public settings, they say prince could be pretty "ghetto" (in the words of Mark Cardenas) but he was more often pretty conservative from what i gather. Madonna was still a white woman in america who could do a lot of things Prince would never get away with, here in seattle, she pushed some DJ on his ass because he got in her way when she was running, but for me, it's a sensibility thing. I've been around a lot of white people and not all of them but many of them are to carefree with what they say because they don't think they'll get their asses whipped. i'll tell you a story, i knew a guy who works in a showplace here where a lot of musical artists come through, i asked him what it was like he told me "you'd never believe it but the hip hop artists and the rappers are way easier to deal with than the rockers" I told him i did believe it. now, that's not all white people of course and it wasn't even white people going back a couple generations but it's a lot of them now, it's a reason i don't like being around white musicians which is a hard thing being in a white city like seattle, a lot of spoiled white guys thinking they should be stars running around this city, i can't deal with em.

.

Well, Madonna is a Diva! She commands respect.

.

I don't understand your comments about white people; it's like you are stereotyping us white folks.

.

Actually I find that black people speak their minds and they are not afraid to hold-back how they feel.

.

I don't like putting people into categories because I know plenty of white people are are outspoken as much as black people.

I'm pretty sure Madonna was very promiscuous during her rise to fame; it's pretty standard practice in the music industry, and Hollywood celebrities/stars.

.

Yea, Prince had a lot of sex with a lot of women, I guess he gets a free pass because he was a Rock God and a sexxy MF! lol

.

Now, if you say the same thing about Gene Simmons......I would be like, Ewww...GROSS!! feeling ill

.

I remember when Arsenio was interviewing Sheena Easton and he made some remark about Prince having been around the block a few times, LOL lol

.

I meant sleeping to the top and promiscuous are two different things. I doubt 'sleeping to the top' is why she is still and continued to be very succssful. I'm just saying, I don't think that would ever be said about any man. But there is a different intent and judgement when a man has a lot of sex vs a woman, Arsenio was just jealous lol.

Yes I said that too lol the bolded piece...

.

I think early in Madonna's career, she may have done things in order to get her first record deal. She earned her title as Diva, and she is a smart businesswoman.

.

Yes, there is a double-standard when a man sleeps around versus a woman.

.

Arsenio.....he was jealous cause Prince could get all the pretty chicks! lol

That isn't true man, that is so not true.

First of all, women talk much more than men.

Let's leave off from these generalized 'racial' comments
