Purple Rain Clothing question

I've always been curious about this, what type of shirt/jacket is Prince wearing in the Computer Blue rehearsal scene with the guys and in the scene where he destroys his room after his dad's suicide attempt. Any help would be great, thanks in advance!

It looks like a loose 'turtleneck' or one that is a few sizes big
