So if they never close the case, and the 3 yr limitation is up, what are they to do? They could actually never find out what happened to their brother. That is so wrong.

Tyka has said she knew he was going to die. They know what happened to him. I'm very curious at WHO specifically has hired this attorney because that would shed some light.

Hi laura! Yes, I do remember that. This business of searching every corner for a way to get some coin just makes me look at the elders more than anyone else. With lawnie cheerleading and leading the way lol But I do not know that for a fact. The lawyers had to know they wouldn't be able to get the info they are looking for because it's still an active investigation. Maybe it's just going through the formalities until they CAN get the info and potentially file. I dunno.

Well the Nelson’s filed a motion with the court so we will see what the court has to say about it. I kind of feel sorry for them because if the rumors are true and no arrest are coming what else can they do? We can see from the WB deal and the assignment of some albums to charity that Prince did make some provisions that will make it extremely difficult for the family to sell off everything. They will get money but I do not see them getting a windfall anytime soon. This suit can get them that and expose what is going on with investigation.

He still could have been ill from something else. And the illegal drugs
Or dr’s mishandling a patient could still be the overiding issue the police are interested in. Doesn’t mean what she has said still couldn’t be exactly what
She felt and happened. They are two separate issues that happened to happen

The narrative seems to lean towards whether Prince's death is related to prescription overdose death.

George Loucas specializes in prescription drug overdose death. If Dr. Schulenberg was prescribing pain killers to Prince that caused his death ( specifically fentanyl), I would imagine that the Minnesota Medical board would have some knowledge of it. If the ME stated in her autopsy that there were other forms of opiate in Prince's system other than fentanyl ( which I believe,) it still wouldn't explain how Dr.Schulenberg would have prescribed these things without a trace as of today's date. It could be another doctor but I doubt it. This is all a grab for insurance money, which if collected, would remain sealed and confidential . We would never know the half of it. I am quite sure counsel for Dr. Schulenberg will be happy to answer any and all claims ( since she has already done so). This is all a grab for insurance money under the guise that someone else other than Prince was complicit in the procurement of a legal substance that he ingested.

It will be interesting enough to see if the next-of -kin will be as vigorous in pursuing any other information that supports that Prince himself procured an illicit substance if they can not prove that a doctor gave Prince a legal substance that caused his death.

[Edited 2/9/18 12:07pm]

Where has it ever been mentioned, by the court papers or the family themselves, that this is a grab for insurance money??

The motion filed by the attorney talks about insurance.

Also, the 3 year statute of limitations can be extended by when the parties became aware of the cause of the action.

Hmm, They won’t release info to the family about the investigation of Prince’s murder and you fools still believe Prince died of a accidental opioid overdose which was enough to kill a elephant. You are all fools. I choose to believe Prince when he said he did not use any drugs and did not distribute alcohol in Paisley Park. Justice is coming and Prince’s good name will be restored regarding this fake drug connection to his murder. Millions of people feel Prince was murdered and this was no accident. I believe the investigators are just waiting for the players involved in Prince’s murder to hang themselves. As they say, what you do in the dark will come to the light. The world will be shocked again when it’s revealed what really happened to Prince. He was not ill of no disease and he was no drug addict with hip pain. All fake news. Charges are coming and the players involved are going down.

Yet, the NPG are still touring with this enabler.

Also, "knowledge" is an understatement, when your name is on the damn pill bottles.

What do you make of engineer Hans Martin-Buff's statement, saying that people shouldn't blame Kirk, because the reality is that anyone who was around could have had their name on those bottles, and that if he himself was still around, it could just as easily have been his name?

Ultimately if Prince wanted it this way, and someone wouldn't do it, then he'd find the next person to do it.

The NPG are good people. I have spent time with them all personally, and that they have put their support behind Kirk (as have many others) speaks volumes to me. Ultimately he was arond Prince for what - 30 years? Who else can you say that about?

There's a lot of pieces to this puzzle, many of which we don't have answers for. I wholeheartedly believe that P was ill and the whole overdose thing is misdirection, and he preferred it that way to wasting away. Blaming Kirk because his name is on a couple of pill bottles (which, also, had nothing to do with the Fentanyl) feels like a cop out, to me.

——Prince has five sibs not one. She has not changed the story the second time around she added the e-mail and picture. If the family is trying to bring s wrongful death suit against some doctor or hospital how would she get away with making up stuff? Personal injury attorney work on contingency I doubt the lawyers would take the case and file a motion if they did not think a good case could be made for some maltreatment could be drugs or could be something else. I am pretty sure the lawyers have those e-mails.

That email is key info. She saw something in that email and it was intended that she see what he wanted her to see. She knows.

People keep throwing her under the bus but you'll notice that NONE of the other sibs/heirs have ever referenced anything he sent them personally nor any conversations had with them in any recent times. Those are important things to keep in mind when looking at this situation.
