prince rushed to Fairview Northdale Hospital in 1996

Alex Hahn also mentioned this incident in his book, Mayte Garcia told this story in her memoir a little different from these two books.

I do not think anyone knows exactly what happend. If he grabbed the medical records Matye would not know the details and I cannot take anything the nannies havd to say seriously. No one knows what was in his mind

If he drank four whole bottles of wine he was going to have problems aspirians or not.

It could be that he simply was drinking too much and did think the aspirians would help with his heart papaltations which back in the day doctors did reccommend.

Anyway I do not know very many people who are addicted to aspirian.

* aspirin.

Apparently, he'd been in the studio for quite awhile -- and the "four bottles" could have been there awhile and shared with others.

It's common to take aspirin when tipsy to delay/prevent a hangover. It used to work nicely for me...but it once made me very ill.

Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

Aspirin does nothing for heart palpitations - and a doctor wouldn't suggest aspirin for that. It's possible Prince thought he was having a heart attack, but downing four bottles of wine certainly wouldn't help in that regard.

Non-heart disease conditions that cause palpitations: stress, dehydration (which is a result of alcohol consumption), weight loss (he was painfully thin during this time), lack of sleep, hormone imbalance. We know Prince had the first four for sure, just based on his schedule and what was going on in his world at the time.

I read this part in my Rolling Stone magazine backm in 2016. April 21, 1996. That year was a very stressful year for him. Prince had got finish doing a three day binder of playing music non stop! That meant: no eating! no drinking water! no sleeping! Mayte Garcia had found Prince unconscious on the floor. Her and a bodyguard had rushed Prince to the Fairview Northdale Hospital where he could fluids in his system. The doctors wanted Prince to stay over night. Knowing Prince. He had refuse to stay and went home. I also read after this incident. Prince had 20 years of jinyness. Because he died on Thursday April 21, 2016. This is eerie. It all started with Mayte Garcia. In my opionion; it ended with Mayte Garcia! eek

About 20 years ago doctors use to tell people to take a few aspirians for heart problems. I had a doctor tell me this. They do not anymore because it can mess up your stomach and of course kill your liver.

Dr. Fink said he had complained about heart palpatations years ago and that he did take a lot of aspirian. Could have been stress or just not eating well. Look at how skinny he was around the slave era.

Yes, he could have been having a party. I remember Ian Boxhill saying he had a great wine collection. I think the whole thing was blow out of proportion by the nannies.

Yes, very true! And, drinking wine will raise your blood pressure, thus making a headache even worse!

Back in the 90s I think he was killing himself. He seemed to get better the last 20 years of his life.

He looked good, put on weight, dressed better and slowed his touring down to something within reason.

I think this wine thing was working, worry and partying. Would it not just be like life to throw you a curve ball when things are going good?

He seemed to have a renewed energy and seemed very happy.

Exactly.
While most of us sleep or suffer through a hangover, a wealthy person depended on by many will be rushed to a hospital.
It was no big deal.

It is also mentioned in the 1998 Liz Jones book, that it happened in November, Prince had drunk a bottle of wine and had his stomach pumped for pills. They said he was dangerously emaciated and his tiny body could not take the abuse.

.

I think from this time onwards Prince was drinking more and doing more drugs, but also being clean for long periods. Probably stressful events like the death of his son that caused these episodes and it was obvious after the death, his love for Mayte started to really cool and eventually by 1999 fizzle out.

Given the fact that the death investigation reveals that Prince kept pain pills in aspirin bottles, I'm not sure that it was really apspirin. Maybe he was mixing alcohol with pain pills, which is a very dangerous thing to do and that's why he passed out.

Probably stressful events like the death of his son that caused these episodes and it was obvious after the death, his love for Mayte started to really cool and eventually by 1999 fizzle out.

He was probaly depressed over his carreer and the lost of his son. He never appeared at concerts or public events drunk or high. If he was drinking so what he was going thur a lot and had been drinking too much prior ( there is a interview that he did where he actually said he drinking too much, had too many women and that he had to make changes) it does not mean he was a drunk or drug addict.

He also looked really better in 96 on then in did in the mid -90s.
