It's a classic track about his reflections on settling down. So melodic and cleaver it would have been a sure fire hit....but he probably got bored or fell out with his latest muse so it got tossed into the vault...

Wonder sometimes what album it could have fit on and maybe that's why Prince never used it. It might have worked on D&P but that's all I can think of as far as working it into a track list. Maybe it might have fit in on Come.

Great Track IMO !!!!

Always loved 'Player' - I can see why it didn't make it to D&P or whatever - if it had it might've ended up way over-produced and it's fine just the way it is.
