Thank you for saying this. I was going to post the same kind of comment if somebody else already had not.

.

I think the "visited a Twin City hospital" is, as others have pointed out, poor wording on the journalist's part. Or rather, not a very clear description. Many hospitals see clinic patients during regular office hours, especially if it's a specialist. I live in the Cities and many of my doctors who are specialists have their office AT the actual hospital - i.e. if I go there for an appointment, I will technically have "visited the hospital" that day because I was there AT the hospital building itself.

.

As for the intravenous treatment, that could've been anything from a merely fluids if Prince was dehydrated (which can be quite serious particularly if you're already ill) or an IV infusion of various types (electrolytes, platelets, iron, etc).

At most, expect obstruction of justice for one or more of the people that found him. At best, let’s hope they find and charge the supplier so this doesnt happen to others.

Old news. He was treated and had some tests done the day before. He went to the dinner theater with Kirk, etc and was dropped off at Paisley at 8pm.

DINNER THEATER? Where'd you get that?
Didn't happen on 4/20.

He went out that evening. I thought it was the dinner theater. He got treatment early, walgreens then he went to one of ththe chanhassen restaurants/theaters then home at 8. He talked to Will Smith later that night.

Will Smith has his own youtube channel these days. Maybe he'd be forthcoming with what they discussed, Probably not though.

Hi, respectfully I think you have some of the facts mixed up a bit.

.

What I recall reading and hearing about the timeline of that afternoon/evening is that Prince went to his doctor appointment, picked up the prescription at Walgreens (where he was papped allegedly appearing 'agitated'), then was dropped off at Paisley (which I thought it was before 8 p.m. but am unsure about that part.) My understanding is that he sent everyone at Paisley home early that night, and even got up and left a meeting with staff saying that he had a headache or didn't feel well, something along those lines.

.

He did attend a jazz club one night between the Moline incident and April 21st, that's the only place I recall reading he went out to in that timeframe - not the dinner theater.

[I found this article on TheCurrent's blog that pretty much states Prince made a surprise appearance at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater on March 21, 2016 for the Ray Charles Tribute that night and that was the first, and only, time he'd been to the dinner theater. https://blog.thecurrent.o...itar-solo/ ]

.

Here's a People.com article about his visit to the Dakota Jazz Club two days before his passing. If you Google you can find other sources reporting that information also.

http://people.com/human-interest/former-dakota-jazz-club-employee-says-prince-looked-healthy-days-before-death/

.

I just did some Googling and you are correct about his being dropped at 8 p.m. None of the articles I found stated exactly where he was up until that time though. So much info has changed, come out, been refuted, etc since that day almost two years ago I can't keep up with it all and so if someone knows for sure (or as 'sure' as anyone can be from what the different sources claim) where he was prior to being dropped off that evening, I'd appreciate that

That's not quite the same thing, Laytonian - we knew he had had tests the DAY before - but we had been led to believe that they were conducted by Dr Schulenberg, in his office, not that Prince had visited an actual hospital, and certainly not in the evening, ie just prior to 8pm...

.

I dunno, maybe that's normal practice in the USA but in the UK, the GP (ie general practitioner / physician) has normal working hours, and works out of a surgery (office), not out of a hospital...An evening visit to a hospital suggests extra-ordinary care.

Wrong.
Dr Schoenberg's practice was there. He was treated for dehydration.

I'm not sure why you're trying to school us in UK practice.

The hospital visit on 4/20 was reported shortly after his death. Here's what the Star-Tribune published on 5/21/2016 about his last week:

-

"Sources with knowledge of the investigation have told the Star Tribune that despite putting on a calm face after his emergency treatment for an opioid overdose in Moline, Ill., on April 15, Prince grew increasingly agitated in the following days. That prompted one member of his staff to place a call to New York at 6 a.m. on April 20 — the day before the musician’s body was found — seeking advice from someone who had recently worked with the musician, a source said.

-

Later that day, Prince was given an intravenous treatment at a local hospital, a source with knowledge of the investigation said."

-

I think the sequence of events that day was hospital for treatment/tests, then to Walgreens to pick up scripts (spotted there around 7:30), then back to PP by 8pm. It hasn't been reported, as far as I know, when he arrived at the hospital and how long he was there.

In the U.S. it depends upon what kind of tests are being performed as to whether they can be done in a physician's office or if one has to go to the hospital to have the testing done.

For example, if it's a simple lab draw, they may do that at the physician's office. But if it is some kind of x-ray, that will be done at the hospital on an outpatient basis.

Nonsense. I have had many x-rays and have never gone to the hospital. Unless someone goes to an emergency room or is admitted to a hospital, x-rays are done at a clinic.

No. It didn't say "still".
It says:
"Authorities have been attempting to determine the source of the fentanyl..."

But it's likely they dead ended and decided it's done.

Wonder if that scrip he was picking up may have been for suboxone. It's used to treat withrawal symptoms. And, yeah, if they don't have a source for the fent, I don't see how anyone can be brought up on charges.

As to "why did they just drop him off?"

Not where I am at. If I have to get an x-ray, the doctor sends me to the hospital outpatient. He does not have the facilities at his practice to be able to do x-rays. This is true of many doctors, and I've seen quite a few of them since I was 17, since I have a high-risk health condition.

Ok. He was at Dakota's on Tuesday evening. We know he tends to sleep late. I'm sure he wouldn't be hanging out in a medical waiting room, probably had an after hours appointment, had some test done Wednesday. The phone call to Dr. Kornfields was made that day or rather that evening. Ran an errand or two was dropped off at 8. Made at least one phone call, probably more.

Weeks they say. Gonna be some tense weeks.

Interesting. I've never heard that story about Prince being at a dinner theatre on the 20th. Doesn't sound like something an unwell person would do. His Chef said he did not eat his meal on the 20th; you would think Prince would have informed him he would not be having dinner at PP that evening, but who knows??!!
