It's after 1am here and it would take me awhile to type out the tracklist for six CDs. I gotta crash, but, I'd be happy to do that when I get home tomorrow evening.

Sounds like this has some alwful filtering applied to all tracks to make them sound like stereo, rather than mono.

So, "Gotta shake this feeling" wasnt ab-libbed on the neon rendezvous boot after all.

Its a shame the sound quality sucks really bad on that linn drum rehearsal, I can imagine it would be pretty enjoyable in higer fidelity stereo and at the correct speed

Is anybody able to make out the lyrics to "Get Down"?

Comparing Pittsburgh to the leak, I agree. I prefer mono to "faked" stereo effects every time.

Mono or fake stereo or whatever, to finally hear a really good quality version of that early live take on All the Critics at First Avenue is marvellous. That'd go on a career-spanning boxset if I ever put one together.

(I mean, obviously it'd be a disaster on everyone's part if I was asked to put one together but I just really love this take of it).

Is anybody able to make out the lyrics to "Get Down"?

This version of "Gotta shake this feeling" for me has some obvious similarities to the Purple Rain Demo that Wendy & Lisa are giving to Prince in the movie Purple Rain. But I see no obvious relation between the Track "Purple Rain istr." on this disc and the Purple Rain we all know...

I think this rehearsal has some historical significance, because it could be considered as some kind of starting point for Purple Rain. But I will not come back to this very often. Even if the second part of Lisa is quite funky.

All of this is Prince alone in his home studio, I suppose?

No way is it from 82. Prince calls out "wally!" during Lisa, and i dont think he was around in 82.

Its just lazy guesswork by the bootleggers, but eh a bootleg should always have a few errors, just look at purple rain deluxe
