Quincy Jones depiction of Prince --- not cool

His contention that P was attempting to hit MJ with a car. Unless MJ and Q had a recording device in the car with Prince or his limo barely missed actually hitting MJ, how the hell would they know? What an irresponsible and hateful thing to say. Even if someone heard Prince mutter it to his driver, whose to say he actually meant it? Quincy JOnes' doesn't seem like a particularly nice man and he was supposedly a friend of Prince's dad.

I know people will move this to a different forum but this was about Prince.

New interview with Q is filled with salicious info about many folks but he is really harsh about P.

I said the same thing when he told this story the last time (and other times he's said shit about MJ who was supposedly like his family) but nobody listened to me

—Maybe Jill Jones will jump in she said she was with Prince at the James Brown concert and that they had drunk a lot of wine on the way up to show. I find it hard to believe he was any condition to drive much less is on limo. Sounds like Quincy just looking for some way to throw Prince into the conversation for no reason.

Quincy Jones depiction of pretty much everything in that interview was not cool. But sure he's an old man now, an old man who hasn't done anything of interest in 30 odd years. Man, fame destroys people.

You could've said Something without putting the 2 against each other again. This might cause another senseless discussion about who's better.

He shades MJ as well. He has bad things to say about Ray Charles who was suppose to be his friend.

The Mafia helped blacks WTF. How by putting drugs in the black community?

He thinks it is cool to brag about his 22 girlfriends who all know about each other. Even Prince kept his mouth shut about that so he was not as dumb as this douche.

There is an interview with Perry Jones who managed Prince for a while and he said he went to Quincy to see if he wanted to put some money into Prince's first tour and Quincy made Prince wait in the car. He was a asshole to him on the first meeting so the shade is not a shock.

Prince was drunk at the JB show and out of 40 years in the industry that is all Quincy can bring up.

I hope his family finally puts him in a home were he belongs. Talking about some dude dick size.

I dont mind his girlfriends... i mean his sugar babies with serious daddy issues. Our man Prince already taught us that he confuses them all with his wealth, so yeah... some ppl grow old and learn nothing.

.

And nothing like old ppl recycling same old stories in which they were barely involved... i bet they sound so much better in their heads, than what we read here.

what baffles me, is how do you miss a major city like minneapolis when you tour for umpteen years, i doubt that Jackson had never played there.

also, i always wondered about his Malcolm X stories, the timelines don't jibe, malcolm was in prison from 46-52, got out and according to all the sources I know of, didn't do any of the drug dealing Quincy's trying to talk about here, so unless Q was in detroit at 14 which I doubt, then that can't be correct. Even if he was in detroit, Malcolm was living in Harlem and going to Boston here and there during that time, not really hanging out in detroit. when he got out of Prison, he worked a few straight jobs while he got the preaching going but as far as I know, he was done with hustling.

MJ didn't really tour as much as other artists, at least not solo. Back then, I guess he didn't really have to. People still made money from record sales.

You'd be surprised which cities that are major markets just get missed for one reason or another. I was surprised that U2 hadn't performed in Nashville, TN for like 20 years until a few years ago.

Quincy time line was off. He played in Hampton group when he was what 17 or 18. Malcolm use to sell weed to the big bands but that was in New York. Quincy is going senile and notice no one he talks about is alive.

I know Jill Jones said she was at that JB show and she did not say anything about running over MJ either.

i'll look it up myself, i'm sure the J5 done played minneapolis. i just saw a date from the 70's in st. paul which is the same as minneapolis, still looking for minneapolis though.

I don't think Quincy is of sound mind.
