I'm not a completist. I can't see the point in buying/owning music i would never listen to. I signed up for Tidal so i could listen to those more obscure records first before making a decision to purchase them, rather than just going out and buying everything with his name on it and disliking it. I pretty much passed on everything from Chaos and Disorder to Musicology.

emancipation, the gold exp.,, nothing good there? Musicology was a fine Prince album in my book but a lot of people were plain underwhelmed by it, just like every release since his "golden period".

like he said in "Don't Play Me" He was his only competition.

"Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!"

anything prince officially released is worth listening to in my opinion. before he died there were a lot of haters on here, they've changed their tune but Prince always put out good albums in my opinion. I never got into his triple release minneapolis/bria valente/lotus flower set but outside of that, almost everything I've liked or loved.

Actually a great many of them did more than changing their tune: they hardly come here anymore. That suggests, if nothing else, that their main purpose was to bitch about Prince in the hope he'd read their posts and get hurt, or maybe that one day he'd think 'oh, those folks don't like my music anymore, I'm gonna make music they like again", as if he could possibly do any such thing falloff

Those people bitching and creating the weekly "Prince is over and done" thread were unintelligent, pathetic, bitter people. We're better off without them nod

Amen Bro, Yeah That! razz biggrin

could be that, maybe they just don't come around, the place is slow for sure but i see a few folks i remember, one in particular got me banned in an argument about him being too nitpicky. also, people still say nasty things, uncalled for things but not as much.

Ok so ive never heard the following albums im not really a fan of his bible bashing songs so are they worth checking out?

NEWS XPECTATION The SLAUGHTER HOUSE CHOCOLATE INVASION.

I would struggle to make one decent cd's worth of that excess mediocrity. Hate to say but at the rate Prince was going the mediocre stuff would have dwarfed the brilliant stuff but some lengths. I'm sure there's gems in the vault. I also bet there are 3x as many thowaways if we go by what he had released thus far.

not for me, i loved his last 3 releases i didn't get the one release, what was the name of it? the one that was hard rock? it sounded derivative so i didn't bother.

Chocolate Invasion is a good album, shame it never got a proper physical release.

We're here, might as well get into it.
