Big Brass Bed

The dirty mind outtake “Big Brass Bed” Has anyone heard this one before? Could someone provide info on it? On neversin’s post is was listed with sister. was it on the same cassette as sister(acoustic)?

Big Brass Bed is an unreleased track recorded in May or June 1980, at Prince's Wayzata Home Studio in Wayzata, Minnesota (shortly after Sister, during the same set of sessions that produced the Dirty Mind album tracks). Nothing is known about the song's music or lyrics, and the song remains unreleased.

I wonder if this tune is in anyway connected to the old Ray Bryant jazz tune. Probably not but i still wonder lol

It's related to Sister in some way, and I'll bet it's just an extended coda of Sister instead of a proper song.

My only reasoning for this is the "Broken Faucets" thread where this was listed as "Sister+ (Brass Bed)", and PrinceVault saying it was recorded very shortly after "Sister".
.
Listening to the demo versions of "Sister" from "Closer to God"/BFTP6, the little guitar riff at the end (besided sounding exactly like Sammy Hagar's "Your Love is Driving Me Crazy") has a "Big-Brass-Bed" cadence to it.

I used to have a big brass bed (well it was painted white), but it was a pain in the neck!

At night when it got cold the metal frame would get really cold which was just horrible when my toes touched it!

I'd often bang my head on the metal headboard (not in the way you are thinking) and that was just horrendous!

I replaced it with a lovely upholstered white bed - much more appropriate.
