Article: Looking back at Prince's legacy through the lens of fashion

The heels also served purposes that are seldom mentioned:
1 - they lengthened his legs, giving him a more balanced structure.
2 - They allowed him the chance to look more people in the eye or at least above the shoulders.

When he was first starting out, he filmed himself to find out what he really looked like. He transformed every bit of himself.

His clothing made him stand out among everyone else and therefore enlarged his persona.
Hats gave power and added inches. He wrote them at careful angles.

He truly planned everything from his toes up. He wanted to appeal to everyone and wanted everyone to love him...probably more than he loved himself.

There’s a photo in Afshin’s book where Prince is wearing flip flops without socks. You can clearly see a huge bunion. Probably why he rarely went barefoot.
