You going to hate me for this. I never seen Under The Cherry Moon. Nor Sign 'O Times. I was 13 at the time. But I saw Purple Rain back in '84 when I was 10 1/2. But these are the two movies I have not yet seen! | |

Leading straight into Anotherloverholenyohead...classic choosing, leadline.
I enjoy in no particular order: "He's a little possessive, don't you think?"... "Just like Liberace!"... "I bet he's your boyfriend!"... "Pizzaman!"... and the opening sequence to Christopher Tracy's Parade - it looks so beautiful, as does all the film.

Mary's mom's bedroom scene Wrecka Stow "You know, I could breathe a lot easier if the air wasn't so utterly polluted by your presence! - leading into "What's the matter, late for work?" the tarot card back n' forth is fun "tell Jonathan I said hello" ...come to mind off hand. "  don’t really care so much what people say about me because it is a reflection of who they r." |

One of my faves was right after this, when Mary tells Christopher to "SHUT UP!" And Chris says, "Jesus Christ, Shut up?!? I'm callin yo daddy this instant! Be quiet, maybe. Yes, pipe down...but not shut up! Oh no! I dont allow that!" Make it so, Number One... | |

That "Liberace" overdub always bugged me...it's a poor piece of editing...I'll have to have another look at the pictures, though, I did not know it was "John Wayne" Tncky was saying!
The whole birthday party segment is very amusing...Vistor Spinetti dancing to New Position is a particular highlight for me... It all looks so beautiful, for all its faults, UTCM is a wonderful looking film.
I do enjoy the look on the bass player's face when Mary Sharon starts playing the drums. Very funny. | |

the opening scene pulled me right in. I saw the Kid, brooding pianist ... The scene was sexy, the piano playing wonderful (why did we not get that song piece An Honest Man as an UTCM song... The visuals, the ballet dance in the background (Tricky wrote too many notes, but it was ok), it was wonderful.
