Best Prince Scream?

I searched a bit, could not find a post about this, so here I am.

I want to know which song in the catalog has the best, isolated, P scream? You know, the iconic one that is at the beginning of "Sexuality" and is in so many other tracks?

Thanks.

Thank you.

Definitely DMSR for me, if we’re taking about the Owohwah! He shouts one out and then bam!, the groove hits hard. The placement is perfect. If you find the 2004 Detroit live version of DMSR, he nails it there, too.
.
Runner up is the beginning of Eye No. The owohwah! pops up out of nowhere in an intro where there’s barely any music yet and the mood is quite calm. It’s an interesting juxtaposition.

I love the "Owowah!" in 'Da Bang' from Crystal Ball. DMSR is obviously perfect! But, for me, I think the beginning scream in Gett Off is crazy! Btw, I read somethin that it was actually Rosie Gaines but I will continue to believe it was P until that's been proven.

That's Rosie. Confirmed on here years ago by her and someone else.

All, thanks for the ideas. I want to make my own alert sound for my phone, “oooaoowwaah”, and my Audacity skills are weak. So I need something that is “isolated” with no back beat or noise, so I can cut it up and convert it.

Thanks again!

I've always been partial to the final note/scream of Jack U Off. Very similar to the opening of Love and Sex.

at 5 minutes and 2 seconds in We Can Funk (Graffiti Bridge version)... it's in the background but that scream!

the vocals arrangements from 3.15 minutes to the end of that song are brilliant... but that's a different topic.

that scream is also in We Can Fuck (from 5.51 to 6.09 minutes)

enjoy smile
