Well, I drink at all other Prince party nights outside of Paisley .

I figured this would eventually happen. Being that it is such a huge vacinity and many people would be able to dance all night long to Prince music (especially people from all over the world will be here that weekend) I think this is a great way for Paisley Park's legacy to remain open and pay the bills.

I understand from the point of view if he was still here, but we have more people than ever attending Paisley Park to pay respects who never been there or seen him live. I don't think it will be a big problem as long as they dance and party to Prince music and legacy.

Well the permit is only for the week of the Super Bowl. My guess they will only request it for special events. I doubt PP management or the Estate wants to have to deal with everything that goes along with having a liquor license and who knows if the city would even approve it.

I agree. OK for a special event, but too much of a hassle full-time. After all, you don't really need a buzz on to enjoy his musical greatness!!

Good morning children...take a look out your window, the world is falling...

this may have already been posted here (i haven't read every post on this thread ) justin timberlake will be using the park for partying. hence the temp alcohol permit

Looks like a small number of Justin Timberlake fans will be using Paisley Park’s temporary liquor license during Super Bowl week to pop some champagne.

American Express is hosting a "listening session" with Timberlake featuring food, drink and a hint at "more" from the "Sexyback" singer in the home of late “Lovesexy” legend Prince on Feb. 1, according to an eTix.com web page. Sorry, folks, it already lists tickets as sold out.

Should Timberlake opt to perform that night -- Prince himself usually kept Paisley visitors guessing -- 36-year-old pop star would have 2½ days to rest up for the Super Bowl halftime show at U.S. Bank Stadium that Sunday. JT's lumberjacky new album, “Man of the Woods,” comes out the day after the party at Paisley.

All of this kinda makes me think that maybe there might be a 1/2 time nod to Prince.

Perfect way to sell more paisley merchandise too, more juced up people are, more they will spend, not saying that thought process is right, just saying I would shocked if that line of thinking didn't cross their minds.
