Does this mean that the agreement would have a time span, like 2014-2017? Where as a shareholdet agreement would show an agreement to be in business together going forward.

I would be ok with whatever Prince wanted, but Tidal seems to be stalling and acting shady. Not sure why, if they were confident in the agreement.

Comerica is charging a flat fee and Troy gets a commission just like LM. Troy will not be benefitting for eternity. We cannot get the music until it is catalogued and in some cased cleaned up. Who is going to market, package and distrubute the music.

Anyone can see a massive amount of material will need an actual business enity to oversee it and as long as the rights are not being sold outright what is the problem.

Dig Shawnetta, I think it is very likely that the deal was looked at and as stated earlier was not in the best interest of the sibs for the long term, contained restrictions, devalued what Prince worked so hard to develop, and wasn't anything special that hasn't been seen before. How do you know what the older sibs know, what they want, etc? With age comes wisdom, the elders can see through the BS while the others are caught up in celebrity. Do you really think the older sibs want to litigate and oppose for no reason? They have a better understanding and can see what is really going down. What expereince do the sibs have in the entertainment business or running a publishing/record company? Do they have capital, Do they have contacts in the industry. The two sisters admitted on GMA that they had not even been inside Paisley Park until after Prince died.

Do they understand how to manage a vast estate? Do they understand tax laws? All they seem to understand is that they want a check as this is all they keep going on about in their complaints. Not one complaint that we have seen explains the issues with these business deals. I am sure they are nice people but they are in their 70s and I know the clock is ticking but letting a lawyer advise you that is currently under a court investigation for perhaps defrauding the estate does not show wise decision making.

Whooo Wee, your all over the place with that reply, but from what I gather their complaint sounds to me like they see all Prince's money going out to pay for everything including the kitchen sink, and nothing coming in to satisfy the taxes so they can close the estate. I mean how much music has been released? No date or plan to satisfy the tax debt and since that is the case, guess who continues to stay in charge and get paid until the well runs dry. If I recall, any deal under $2M, Comerica can make without consulting/approval of the heirs. Anything above that, they have to give a notice of sorts.

Comerica seems to be doing things in the right direction. I am amazed at how SNJ are acting. LM wants to do what best, then but out. He is not the legal attorney for SNJ for the probate, only a business advisor. Once the estate is settled, then he can advise. Until then, STFU and sit down. Get the estate settled first. You can only cross one bridge at a time.
