Yep, love it. Love the Hitnrun version, the earlier radio edit and the longer 'original' mix, as well as the remix 7 version. But I'll tell you what I don't like, those steaming pile of crap, Jamie Lewis remixes ill

RIP sad

Paisley Park has a new stage decicated to the video. They have Prince's coat and guitar, Andy Allo's guitar, and Hannah's drum set. The mirrorerd guitar Prince was playing has scuffs all over the front, probaby from the buttons of his coat.

A very very good song for sure. I prefer the synths driving it on the original version to the luxirous horns that dominate on HNR2.

A great example of Prince's storytelling abilities and the wisdom of his later years.

I was neutral on that song until I saw his performance of it on Jimmy Kimmel. He looked so happy that the vibe of the song rubbed off on me and now it's a definite favorite.

Passable, nothing special. The music video is a million times more enjoyable with the volume set to zero. neutral

Some of my favorite Prince lyrics. I wish he put as much thought into more of his lyrics, especially during the later years. He was clearly still capable of lyrical greatness.

Used to think pretty little about it and FixUrLifeUp... but it's grown on me
...instead of the anticipation i learned to listen without prejudice (*to quote someone)

"This kind of love don't come from a prayer
ain't talking ' rebound ': born of despair. .."

It's a story. It's positive and fun.

One i still can't shake is Baltimore.

Sad....i used to have all the OG releases until my hard drive crash. .. I'm gonna prob be spending a long time finding those "cyber singles"

I love it so much! And the video too. He looked and sounded so damn good. Its catchy and sweet and one of my very favorites from these last years.

I can't come back to the released version after this.
I wish he had rebooted the arrangements, the way he did for "Baltimore" on HnR II.

I mean it's like SNL's "Fury". Sure, the album version is great, but live, it's on a whole other level.
I think this is true for many of his late compositions that are consider a tad bland on record.

I didn't think much of it when it first came out. Everybody was using the word "Dylanesque" to describe it, but to me it doesn't sound like Dylan at all. I sorta forgot about it until HNR2 came out and it has grown on me. It's a nice little pop tune.
Now there was a tune that Prince did with 3rdEyeGirl that had a bit of a Dylan-vibe, but I'm not sure if I remember the title. Was it Indifference?

I wasn't keen on first listen wth the Take Me With U like synths but it soon grew on me. Nice lyrics and I like Andy's small parts. RNR Remix 7 is great and it also sounded good on the P&M tour

I agree with you about his recent work. One of the remarkable aspects of the P & M concerts was how many songs from the 2000s he did compared to most of his other tours and how these songs typically sounded just as good as his older songs. I really enjoyed his Rock and Roll Love Affair from the PP P & M concert, especially his vocal which seemed grittier than the recorded version.
