Looking for photo(s) - American Sign Language shirt A coworker of mine is taking an American Sign Language class with her daughter. I brought up the shirt that Prince wore. I searched for it but couldn’t find any pictures. Does anyone have one to share? |

Going by this chart it looks like WEL to me but that makes no sense.

He told Oprah it says "Welcome". "WEL" on the front. There's video somewhere online of him spinning around in it and you see the rest of the letters on the back "COME". | |

Just for the clarity - it's Signed English, not American Sign Language. The difference between the two is that SE is English "rewritten" in hand signs, but ASL has little to no relation to American spoken languages (in fact, ASL and British Sign Language are completely different languages even though English is the official language in the US, Canada and the UK). It has a different word order, different grammar in general, etc. People who are deaf since birth and sign ASL as their first language have to learn (American) English as second language. full lips, freckles, and upturned nose | |
