Turks and Caicos property

So, even though he sold the Turks and Caicos, I've been obsessed with trying to find out if it's still standing. I've been a fan of this property and have always wanted to see it. Anyone else interested??

There are plenty of photos online of it. He never fully moved into it.

Put 21°45'26.36"N 72°11'7.14"W into Google Earth. It'll take you right there.

I think it's the house east of those coordinates. There is a house next to it, with a dark purplish driveway.

.
It was for sale when he died but unless it has sold just recently, it's still part of the estate.
Just Google Prince Turks Caicos and you'll see many detailed articles and
Photos.
It seemed an odd thing for him after not owning another home for years, but it kept his money offshore, which may have been the intent.

I guess I should have clarified. I meant since Hurricane Irma.

I don't know elevation at all, but I'm afraid it took a blunt force being right between two beaches. Lots of the island is demolished. I only hope that it is still there.

So, I messaged Paisley. They simply stated "we wouldn't know...sorry". I hope that doesn't mean they don't care! In all fairness, the people that would know probably aren't the ones checking messages. smile

Kiran Sharma might know as she is there a lot.She went down there last summer and returned with his heart shaped mirror so I assume she had access to the home.Nothing from her yet so maybe everything's ok.

Why would you ask Paisley? They have nothing to do with managing the estate and properties.
When they replied "we wouldn't know", they were being truthful and polite.
COMERICA is the only party who would have information on this - and it's likely they do not know, either. Yet.

People who were close to him speak as though it was a pretty special place to him and them as well.I think the last time it was mentioned as one of his homes was in the Mojo magazine article from 2014.

This was indeed a special place for him. As I reported in my book (Prince: A Life in Music), it's where he recuperated from hip surgery in 2010.

Christopher Allo said on Facebook that Prince wished he spent more time there than in Minnesota sometimes. It was a very special place to him and the ones he took there.

This thread had me looking up the property the other day on Google Maps. I was curious as to exactly where it is. I found it. Purple driveway and all heart
I also wonder how it is after the storm.

The Turtle Tail property was not sold, and is still standing after that _ss whipping by Irma. The house was constructed with concrete, but there is some superficial damage such as, a few broken windows, a pair of wooden french doors and some shutters blew off, a palm tree was uprooted and is leaning on the house, a few of the terracotta roof tiles are missing, and the fence around the tennis court, portions of that blew down. Considering the length of time it was directly hit by Irma's 185mph winds, it faired rather well. For now buyer opportunities are postponed until repairs are made, get your bids ready!

Yes,I saw that.He also posted a photo he had taken of the gates, while stopping by there last summer and that he wished they could have had the family BBQ they talked about.Kiran has some pics and stories on her IG as well. She said there was a cat that used to visit them there that Prince would feed and let stay. She said she later found out that he named her Kiran. heart

This article say it was up For Sale back on May 2016:

https://www.architecturaldigest.com/gallery/prince-former-turks-and-caicos-mansion

So is it did it Sale, Still For Sale, or tied up in the Estate?

Probaly had a key and walked in and took what she wanted. I know the administrator should not have allowed this to happen but do not worry I am sure more stolen stuff is going to show up before long.
