The version from BFTP 4.0 - What a revelation hearing this song minus sound effects, linn drum fills, strings. It's so cool hearing how Prince built the track, and here the bass particularly stands out as stunning. Never noticed it much before. I do love also the officially released track with all the bells and whistles, but this version is for me now essential.
One thing though, liner notes claim this version was on a sequence of Dream Factory. I have a hard time believing that. There's 1:33 of nothing but kick drum at the beginning. Super cool to hear as a fan, but I seriously doubt it was supposed to be left like that for an album.
