New eBook on Prince: "Prince and Little Weird Black Boy Gods"

I just picked this up and haven't started in it yet but thought I might share this for those that are interested. This is not a biography or anything of the like but a collection of essays.

Thanks for the tip! This is (was) an instant buy. Scott Woods is an ace writer. I discovered him from his review on the movie Get Out. His website has tons of great stuff. http://scottwoodsmakeslis...dpress.com

My GUESS is -- having not read the book -- is that he's referring to little kids who were like Prince: odd by virtue of intelligence, talent, or appearance who never fit in properly with what was expected of them.

I mean, I'm not a boy, but I definitely looked up to him because he was a weird, weird man, and I was a weird, weird little girl, and it was pretty heartening to see someone who did not do the expected of a black person be successful.

I imagine myself inside your bedroom; oh, I imagine myself in your sky.

I think that's the gist of it, yeah.
