Don't B Shy This Won't Hurt A Bit

For those that don't know (and there could be a few) this is a recorded performance of "Endorphinmachine" on the set of Britain's Top Of The Pops show. It's included on the prince Interactive CD-ROM at the end as a 'prize' once you complete all the levels. You can also just browse the CD and find the MOV file.

It's not great quality visually because of the technology of the times, but the performance is off the hook. The other favorite would be Canal+ performance on May 5, 1994.

Prince vault says "used audio is of the 2 January 1993 studio version", so is that to assume this video is a lip-sync? I guess so.

Either way, it's one of my favorite versions of the song, although there seems to be a more "raw" version that circulated for a while before The Gold Experience was released, and fans expressed disappointment in the massive overdubs on the album. Not sure if I've heard that version.

As a note, "Dark", "Dolphin", and "Come" were all recorded the same day as "Endorphinmachine", on tat January 2, 1993 date.

Agree, great version.
It's on the same set (in LA according to PVault) as TMBGIW (Mustang Mix) that was filmed for Top Of The Pops

prince Interactive CD-ROM!! There was some issue with the screen resolution that made one part (opening a safe) very hard! I figured out the combination but it would not stop at where you clicked it... but I could tell it was off by a somewhat consistent amount so I clicked a little off and finally got it open!

Yep, you couldn't be at 800x600, or you couldn't be at 1024x768. It had to be at the 480x640 to get the safe to work. Such a weird glitch.

That's a great performance... Always loved Michael B's drumming in that song. It's like punctuation.
