Electric Intercourse, Hit and run Part II, Birmingham 2014

I wanted to tell the people yapping in the audience to STFU.

Most of that song's energy is Prince feeding off the audience's energy and seemingly losing control of himself or barely holding it. (The studio version of this they released was disappointing.)

Love it thanks so much! I wish he would have performed this on the P&M tour.

I was there. Front row! Cos I got to the venue ridiculously early, like midday. I live here in Birmingham so it was easy.

My jaw fucking dropped when it clicked in my head what the song was. Funny - I sang the first line before my brain registered what it was.

Yeo I was there too but off to the side (great view). Took me a few moments to realise what song it was and just couldn't believe it.

Also couldn't believe the casuals chatting!!!!!
'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He's with our son now.' Mayte 21st April 2016 = the saddest quote I have ever read! RIP Prince and thanks for everything.

@Militant, @jaypotton, could you tell who that one person whistling was? I think that loud whistling is what helped to encourage Prince to keep going with the song, regardless of those other rude people talking throughout because they didn't recognize the song or the importance of him singing it live for the first time in 30 years...! I bet P felt "at least a few people know this song..." I'm so happy he sang the whole thing instead of abandoning it due to the non-die hards lack of attention....it must have been amazing to witness him sing it! biggrin heart

I was lucky enough to see both Birmingham shows (my first and only sad)

Was absolutely amazed to hear this, and managed to get a great video of it.

Truly special, but i remember him skipping the word "intercourse" like it was a curse word

I confess I was at Manchester Academy on 21st February 2014 when he played it and I had no idea what it was as I'd never heard bootlegs of it before. Thought it was a cover. People all around me were talking throughout the whole show. It's annoying, but it happens. Unfortunately audiences ruin many great gigs.

Thanks for sharing. I can't imagine the thrill of being there for such a surprising gift. I am not a fighter, but would have been tempted if everyone around me were chatting away. I guess I would have just zoned into Prince like laser beams to take every second in.
