The King Calls Me God

Has anyone read this new (published April 15, 2017) written by Sasha Patchy, 'The King Calls Me God?"

.

I haven't found much info on it, not any really - except for an Amazon listing.

.

Here is the synopsis:

.

"Prince returns to earth to a life far removed from his former one. He has to face his drug addiction issues in order to make it to heaven."

.

There is a long excerpt on the Amazon listing.

I’ve been informed that my opinion is worth less than those expressed by others here.

Perhaps, but a lot of writing is offensive, it doesn’t alter its right to exist. I don’t see the point in getting upset about it. The prose isn’t up to much:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/...1521080372

I’m guessing that this is the moment of Prince’s rebirth:

“I peered at the figure slouched before me. Dark eyes rolled up to meet mine. A hand shot down to cover his limp penis. It was only then I could tell it as a bare-assed man. His chest heaved with a rasping sound. He trembled violently. What seemed to be his afro, was alight and smoking. It was the fire I had seen from the other end of the room – the glowing squiggles I had seen, was, fire whizzing through his unruly hair. The flames had subsided and now diminished to what looked like a burning candle on a birthday cake.”

I’d just write it off as dross. Call me captious, but if I’d plummeted through a ceiling and my fro was on fire, some stranger seeing my Johnson would be the least of my concerns. smile

Yeah, US - check the part of the page listing where it says "Look Inside" - by the cover image. The excerpt includes what appears to be all of chapter 1 and a bit of chapter 2.

.

I have to admit, I'm curious to read the rest of it - even though the writing is not great (neither is the proofreading, lots of errors).

.

It is set in Sri Lanka where Prince is essentially reborn in the home of a stranger. The perspective is first-person, and the narrator - the person (woman, I think) who receives Prince as an unexpected visitor in her home - isn't much of a fleshed-out character (at least as far as the excerpt goes).

.

I honestly can't tell if this is going to devolve into some kind of romance fantasy, or if author Patchy has some actual point in mind.

I’ve been informed that my opinion is worth less than those expressed by others here.

Trust me plenty of people are mad at more then bootleggers. This shit is offensive and it is exactly what I have been saying about the problem with turning him into the poster child for pain pill abuse. Not fucking sypathy for medical issues that he was going thru and a means to cash in on his death.

Trust me this is just the begining.

>>> turning him into the poster child for pain pill abuse >>>

.

Premature death of a celebrity via pain pill overdose turns that celebrity into something of a "poster child" for a problem that has emerged as a nationwide epidemic all on their own.

.

>>> sypathy for medical issues that he was going thru >>>

.

What issues? Oh yeah that's right, we don't know what (if any) issues there were. Besides that he was seeking the assistance of an opioid addiction specialist.

.

Besides... someone's book like this—I haven't read it, neither have you—however poor taste the concept may be in, isn't necessarily unsympathetic.

.

>>> cash in on his death >>>

.

Right... an unknown author self-publishes a few hundred pages of slightly glorified fan fiction and you call it a "cash in." Look out JK Rowling, here comes Pasha Katchy.

In full agreement.

But just like what happened after Elvis died (and quite probably after Jesus too), we can expect this and more in the future. A lot of awful crap that will make true fans cringe. We can expect to see Prince's image distorted and have new "fans" become fans of this false image. But Prince will prevail over this crap.

I could die tommorow from Alcohol posioning it would not mean I was an alcoholic and if I was I did more shit in my life then just drink.

We do know see the article below and numerous statements from people who knew him and the fact that in the search warrants Dr. S said he was seeing Prince for joint pain. The rehab center he was suppose to go to also works with alternatives to pain mgmt. Plenty of evidence that he had joint pain problems for those that want to know about the evidence.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/arts-and-entertainment/wp/2016/04/22/the-day-i-hung-out-at-princes-house-talking-fame-disguises-and-michael-jacksons-death/?utm_term=.857e90249468

"His walk was more of a “pimp,” really — partially due to a recent hip surgery, but also because Prince just had incredible swag."

Saying someone needs to repent their drugs use to get into heaven is unsympathetic but if you know nothing about Christianity you do not get it.

Is the book being given away for free? Because if it is not someone is making money.
