It is an improvement, not vast but an improvement. It certainly doesn't sound like shit.
It certainly does when listened to on a set of studio monitors.
I understand that most people listen to music on fairly modest speakers or, alternatively, the type of hifi that makes harsh-sounding things sound smoother than what they really are. Regardless, listening to this "leak" on a set of "unforgiving" speakers reveals that the track has been ruined by the person tweaking the source. It's really harsh, distorted and unnatural-sounding.

Will we ever finally hear this as it should sound? Hard to believe a quality copy has yet to leak. It's what I still wait for as my holy grail of vault songs. |
