Hi Sharon,

As others have already said, condolences on your loss, to you and all of Prince's family and friends. The way we felt it can't be close to comparable.

Just a couple of questions from me:

What's your funniest or favourite Prince memory/story?

Did you have a favourite Prince song?

So look into the mirror, do u recognise some1? Is it who u always hoped u would become, when u were young?

Thank Me Nelson for taking time to answer our questions. My sincere condolences to you and your family. My question is what was Prince like as a young child?

Would the estate consider releasing the "Piano And Microphone" Gala shows (January 21st) and "Piano And Microphone" Tour shows as a box set like several high calibre legacy artists like Prince have done in the past?

Is there any immediate plans to release the memoirs Prince was writing at the time of death?

How soon will the "Black On Both Sides" album, Prince finished recording with Kirk Johnson, Adrian Crutchfield and Mononeon recording in February of 2016?

Lastly, the album Prince recorded with the late great John Blackwell, Andrew Gouche, Marcus Anderson and Xavier called "NPGQ", will this album be released in the near future? I think the general public should hear the the last projects that Prince worked on that was mainly improvisational with great musicians of jazz and fusion backgrounds.

Hi Sharon, thanks for taking the time to answer some questions. I apologise in advance if this is not something you are willing or able to discuss, emotionally or legally. But if you can, please could you tell us about what you know regarding the months prior to Prince's passing and what he was dealing with? There is so much congecture, tabloid gossip and general confusion surrounding everything that a first hand account would help to clear things up and, no doubt, provide closure to many. I guess in a nutshell my question is: What on earth happened and why?

Many thanks and, one again, apologies for bring up what can only be a difficult topic to talk about.

Hi Sharon!

My deepest condolences! It was quite shocking to me to hear about Prince's sudden death. So why does nobody open up and speak the truth? I'm still grieving and it seems as if I won't be able to find any comfort as long as there are no answers. Because of this it doesn't sit well with me to support any of the new Prince offerings by the estate. Pop is a big fat lie, but life isn't.

Best regards

Hi Sharon,

Do you think that there's a chance for Hardcore fans to have a digital platform opened in the near future ?

Some kind of NPG Music Club 2.0 where outakes, demos, videos, live shows, etc could be shared in return of an annual/monthly fee ?

I think Prince would have loved such a place where Hardcore fans could buy his music and have much more than they can have with physical releases through record companies.

Thanks in advance for your kind answer.

Thank you Sharon. What was Prince like growing up with him? Was he as shy then as he was an adult? My other question was how did your family feel about his sexually explicit songs when they first came out such as Head and Sister for example? Thank you very much and God bless.

Hi Sharon, Thank you in advance for coming here to answer some questions.

How do you feel about celebrities like Stevie Nicks and Jay Z speaking out about Prince?

Stevie Nicks recently gave an interview about Prince that was very disrespectful (in my opinion) and then of course the lyric of Jay Z's new song was throwing some disrepect around also.

Also, did Prince ever show an interest in putting out some of his father's songs?

Rumors have spread through the Prince fan community about the Vault(s) not being in very good condition. Prince would record so much and often move onto the next project so quickly that previous recorded material (tapes) were not preserved properly leading to deterioration. Some have even said that he had older tapes destroyed or recorded over older material.

Can you give us the truth on the state of the vault? Has it been gone through by family? Isit being properly curated and preserved?

Hi Sharon,

Condolences to you and the family. Although he was an icon to us, he was your brother and I know that we all loved him immensely.

The only question I would have is relating to hobbies. Was he into other things besides his music?

Thanks

Andre

the "follow up" album remasters, to the newly Purple Rain Expanded 3Cd/1Dvd..?

please on behalf of the Prince community, will you make sure it will be these albums, in case you can have some kind of influence on future releases from Warner :

1. 1999 remaster with outtakes maybe

2. Around The World In A Day with the brilliant extended versions (Rapberry Beret, Paisley Park (song), America, Pop Life, She's Always In My Hair, & Hello)

3. Parade and bonus disc

4. Sign O' The Times, bonus, outtakes, incl. the movie?

5. Lovesexy and bonus

I really hope these will have a remaster treatment, these brillaint "works of art" truly deserves it.

Thanks, Sharon, in case my "?'s" are relevant. heart

Don't forget the extended 30 minute Joshua Welton remix if Jughead. I want to hear that

Just saying:

It would be nice if people spell checked their questions to Sharon prior to posting.

It would be nice if people read the previously asked questions prior to asking the same question.

Will the estate consider a premium subscriber service for hardcore fans (similar to Prince's own NPG Music Club) to facilitate the release of Prince's later work and other projects (Welcome 2 America, Black is the New Black, Phase 3, etc.) that would predominantly appeal to those who know and have followed Prince's work most closely?

Hi Sharon. Blessings to u dear sister.
1) Can we get the Detroit Bday show with the Parade remaster?
2) How does/will the estate gather the most accurate list of songs for consideration as outtakes consistent with each album/era. Is quality a criteria too?
3) Would the estate consider a definitive box set (don't just do chronological album remasters) that captures the breadth of ur dear brothers talents and compile the discs thematically? (the ballads, the pop stuff, the funk stuff, the rock stuff, instrumentals, jazz, the 'spirituals' covers, rarities. I have some tracklisting thoughts!

When will UMG or WB place the thousands of clips on Youtube on the official channel? Or stop the unauthorized CDs and merchandise. Prince worked with a few artist who created really nice artwork that he purchased can some of that be used on merchandise?

Hello, Sharon

Thanks for your time and my heart mourns with yours in your loss.

I would love an audio of your brother simply being silly and funny and laughing.
If you would consider putting something like this together to hear while visiting
Paisley Park or on a website or a format of your choosing. This would be
A gift beyond measure to hear him laugh. Thanks and Peace to you and yours.

Ms. Nelson,

First and foremost, my condolensences to you and your family for your loss.

In regards to the Vault, could you please enlighten the Org with the following:

1.) Has the Vault been inventoried, and if so, what is the amount of material in the Vault?

2.) Aside from legal contracts, what is the probability of the contents being released?

3.) Are there currently any plans for preservation and digitalizing the Vault Material?

4.) Aside from the audio and video contents, are there a vast amount of photos or miscellaneous items in the Vault that most are not commonly aware of?

5.) Lastly, were there really multiple Vaults?

Thank you for your time in addressing these questions.

Hi Sharon biggrin Thank you for answering questions! I was wondering (the answer may be out there somewhere but I haven't come across it yet) but, as for your father's album that is coming out- will it be available in CD form? I am an old school kind of girl, I like to own my music - I still like CD's and records so I'm hoping it will be an album on a CD and if so, will it be available on Amazon or in stores? Thank you --- Also, it seems Prince was very much like his father- would you say that is true? Do you think they were similar? You all seem like very nice people _ I hope the best for all of you---- Please keep Paisley Park up and running- it can be like a Graceland but better, in my opinion -- smile P.S. here is my suggestion for Paisley Park --- Maybe some high end clothing made by his seamstress(es) It would be so great if there were items for sale like the Emancipation white bubble coat or a nice Lovesexy blazer or nice, blazers with "Minneapolis," on the arm- stuff like that! How cool! I would pay good money for it! smile Just an idea smile Thank you, Sharon. God Bless. smile

P.S. --- Also, Sharon, do you know if there are any hand drawings done by Prince? Any artwork that you've come across at PP- in the Vault- or his office or anywhere- that you might have made into prints and might sell? I would die for something like that!

smile
