No clunkers: 1. For You 2. Prince 3. Dirty Mind 4. 1999 5. Purple Rain 6. Parade 7. Sign of the Times 8. Lovesexy 9. The Gold Experience 10. Crystal Ball / The Truth (excluding Kamasutra) 11. The Vault: Old Friends 4 Sale 12. Xpectation . These aren't necessarily my favorite Prince albums, they're just the ones with no cringe worthy tracks. . I will say that while For You, Prince, and Xpectation don't have any clunkers, they do have some not too inspiring tracks. . Now another fun game would be to name a clunker on each of the albums you don't choose.

I LOVE Sister, that is a must for that album purely Dirty Mind And the crisp magic of Take Me With U is perfect for that scene in the movie just perfect I don't care much for International Lover. I listen to it. I would love to hear the Time's version | |

Ouch. It's probably my favourite P album - and it flows like nothing else in his catalogue. Some of the songs are almost half-ideas, but work perfectly in the context of the album.
Of those songs, New Position is particularly brilliant. |

For me: Dirty Mind, Purple Rain, Sign o the Times And that's it. However, my favourite album would be Parade; I don't mind the slightly lesser songs on there because I feel he was stretching himself and I'd rather hear that over pure calculated expert technique. | |

At least give it some time, the sound on Parade (aside from Kiss) is not what comes to mind when people initially want to hear a Prince song but you'll find yourself returning to it, mark my words. | |

FOR YOU through SIGN O' THE TIMES. . an impressive, amazing, unmatched 10-year streak where every album somehow improved on its predecessor or maintained the high level of excellence. . the 1st "subpar" track was that "shockadelica" b-side. starting there, the brilliance was less frequent & less remarkable.
