Kat Graham's cover of "If Eye Could Get Your Attention"

It's on her new album Love Music Funk Magic, with a heavy dance beat.

Did Prince produce this, with Josh maybe?

Weirdly, it's on the iTunes/Apple Music version of the album, but not the Spotify or Google Play Music version.

No idea but they're not credited on Discogs (only producers are credited, though, so it's hard to tell who did what). Wasn't Prince supposed to have done some work on that record? Or am I getting confused with her saying he advised her on the first album?

Yeah, at one point I'm sure she mentioned working on tracks at Paisley.

I like this better than Taja Sevelle version.
Actually the album is quite good.

This showcase is pretty decent

I've been wanting to know this as well... It does have a Josh-era sound to it. Particularly curious as it comes off the back of P's own rerecorded version too. Shame the Discogs entry's so bare-bones, any other way we can find out?

Sadly Discogs is open source just like Wikipedia so it can't wholly be trusted but it's useful research when done with other research. That being said the Prince / Revolution / NPG section is an almighty mess as no one is policing quality!

I do like this track but after two minutes it fades into the background and is rather repetitive and boring.

But still nice.

For some reason the track is not featured on the Tidal version of the album

Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

On iTunes, it says "Album Only" when you try and buy it. So I guess you have to buy the album to get it. And yet it's on Apple Music to stream. Makes no sense.

Discogs suggests not. https://www.discogs.com/K...e/10404840

But even if he did I still don't think it should be here. Otherwise any artis he ever produced could have that song talked about here and they always get moved.

Listening to the album...not really feeling the first couple tracks...the retro vibe is there but ...something is off I can't put my finger on it. I'll keep listening.
